and in my eyes jumprange is also helpful at closer distance shots, even when the importance is raising with the distance to the basket.

Why would that be the case? Is there any evidence?

you answered your question yourself to make an statement, if you had no clue or really know that Allen only had 10 this might be worth it.

And every shot have a range if it 2 feet, or 20. And many player ain't comfortable anymore on further distances, also the distance is affected by the opposing D. So 120 might be good in IV but I it is a weakness.
