The reason I'm hesitant about Patient, or any slow paced offense, is that this team puts up so many points that I probably would not be able to have enough shots to match his point total.

you shot a higher percentage then him last game. He does have a good offence but you need really exploit that bad perimeter Defence. With a fast paced offence you shot more but generally a lower percentage and with a slow paced offence you shot less but with a higher percentage. its really more shots vs higher percentage. I would take more shots if you dominant in the rebounds and if you dont then go with higher percentage. If you have a good JS, JR guy with decent reb and ID to play PF maybe motion could work. I would worry more about defence and stopping him rather than offence

If you have good defenders, any slow offense will be fine. When you play a slow offense even if you don't take as many shots, you have a higher percentage. So if you take 100 shots with a fast paced tactic in the first half and score only 25 versus taking 75 shots with a slow paced tactic and scoring 40 shots, the slow paced tactic is more effective. This does also rely on the other teams defence and your teams passing and shooting, but I would go with a normal or slow tactic.

and the amount of possesion would be the same for both teams, he can only attack when the slow attack from him is finished.

Playing fast don't mean necessary to score more, but i am not a big fan of playing slow especially against stronger opponents because i had lot of trouble with the shot clock them in the past.
