Are zones or man to man better against Run and Gun?

Usually a 3-2 zone is good against run and gun i find. Their more inclined to shoot outside jumpers.

With 1-3-1 zone the paint is not that well guarded, so if you have good inside scorers I would say Low Post or Look Inside would exploit that weakness

Yeah definitely pound the ball inside against 1-3-1. You'll get second chance points as well. 1-3-1 is great for outside D but hampers inside D and rebounding.

Yeah it's only effective if you have one beast of a center to stand in the paint

So in general, do zones slow down high tempo offenses, and man to man to contain slower, more player-oriented offenses? That doesn't seem to make much sense, but okay. Would 3-2 do the same for Push the Ball as Run and Gun?

Push the ball can be either a inside attack or outside attack, the coach will look at which is more effective and utilize that. So if team plays Push the Ball you need to see where his offensive strenghts are (inside or outside).

No. Not at all. That is what the "jk" and the ":)" were for. I was more thinking about the guy I have to play in the Cup who consistently gets "mediocre" outside shooting and plays Push the Ball and Man to Man.
