Second Team:
Telecasters II
My man, Jan Mylek had been a shot blocking machine down at L3 (2+ bpg in five of his last six seasons) finally had a big game at L2 tonight, 8 block in a big victory for the Telecasters tonight, just two blocks away from a triple double.

We've lost a few tough games here in L2, I've had two one point losses (one of them I was playing a bit out of position for training, grrr), and a loss where I forgot to set my lineup (real life issues getting in the way, oh the life of divorced father of two girls). IF we win those three, we are 9-3 and sitting pretty for the playoffs. Instead, we have the point differential lead in a three way tie for third. Should be a good battle for the last two playoff spots in the Great 8 over the last ten games.

As far as Nate's proposal, its interesting, but I don't know how you can make that work without seeing TSP or even going even further and having some sort of advance scouting team. I always thought it would be nice if advanced scouts could give you some sort of approximate of a players skill, something like that would be a nice way for teams to target players and facilitate trades. But Nate's idea would be a nice way to get communication between the leagues more active and probably a better way for a team to rebuild than simply selling and trying to buy young talent.

Good luck to everyone here in the second half of the season.

Nice win last night. I'll tell you what, I was shocked to pick up the W last night. Huge win for my squad to get to 5-7 rather than being 4-8. I had my starting SG and my starting SF foul out. Then my starting PG gets hurt in the fourth quarter and then my backup PF/C gets hurt for the remainder of the game. Somehow my team still forced overtime towards the end of the 4th and then we pulled it out in overtime short 4 players. Wild win. Tough loss for the Barbaric Yawps.

I saw your Rik Smit Clogs lost last night GM-Hrudley. They had been hot coming into that game, but I guess Window Lickers' defense was a little peskier than I thought it was. Only 50 points put up for the clogs.

Yeah. We shot 17% in the first half and had 8 defensive boards vs. 13 offensive boards for them (though, of course, we had 6 offensive boards by then too). It's pretty much just more proof that outside offenses are broken - because you get games like that, and then you have the one where my team shot literally 60% from 3 against ATL the Hawks for no discernable reason.

It's frustrating not because I lost, because I have no problem losing in ways I deserve to. There's no way they should have only forced 12 turnovers last night, for example - but it should have been something like a 95-84 type loss, where their damn PF scored 50 and I shot a reasonable percentage but couldn't overcome the turnovers. The black swan type quarters and halves are just too frequent.

If your team had just had the decency to admit defeat when I was up seven at the half of game 3 of the Finals, instead of having the audacity to actually come back and win, I'd have already been there, so really it's all your fault.

(The sad thing is, I had another entirely separate explanation based on a different finals loss to another Warriors-themed team that beat me in the finals in II.4 typed out until I realized that was not you but the other one. Fortunately, I haven't had three different Warriors-themed teams beat me in the Finals in II, so it's still really not my fault yet).

Funny thing is that I'm trying to have a team with shooters like the Warriors and yet my games end up playing out like we're the mid-90s Knicks.

Shooters? Like players with high JS and range? I'm trying to go back to the old days and rely my offense on he paint but sadly my bigs are mostly rebounders not scorers
