I know, he paid $1.47m about a month ago, so I think he'll soon find himself broke after paying a further 214k pw to one guy. I CT'd it because I took it easy through the first 2 league games and consequently had some in the tank. Up 8 as I speak!

Looks like I smashed my opponent :) Very proud of the boys ;) Tell you what were definetely an underdog side who manages to win :)

Now i just have to hope for an easy next round :/

How'd you guys go??

Also gold nuggets, i dont really have an answer to your question i hope someone else does but I think the best way for your traniees to get the minutes is obvioulsy play them 1 full game each but this is really hard to do and can stuff you up. So i just think if its your 3rd trainiee not getting the full minutes that it doesn't matter too much unless he is really good.. and if that is the case i'd say sell him... But yea as long on your two better trainees are getting full training minutes just be happy with that and settle for you third trainee getting the scraps :P But don't really have an answer to your question just bored and felt like writing a response thou:P

The loss in training if a player doesn't get 48 minutes isn't linear. If he gets 40 minutes instead of 48, it's more a 50% drop in training than a 17% drop in training.

Regarding training 3 trainees at a time (single position), I do it all the time.

The key is to prioritise the trainees. The 2 most important trainees get the first two games of the week, if they don't get their 48 due to foul out, bad coach substitutions or injuries, you play them in the 3rd game to make up the minutes. The 3rd guy gets the full 48 only if the first two do, and if he doesn't get the full 48 minutes, that's ok.

So making the two best trainees a priority is the way to go, and the 3rd guy is along for the ride (assuming there's room).

Fantastic! next week up against a rank 500 team, woot. I can just keep playing my scrim team, easy.

Also great job to everyone who won their cup game, and bud luck to those who didn't.

Looks like I got a very lucky draw - 628 ranked team next cup game - nice can use the extra cash...

had an easy win first up in the cup 60 odd points i think i was down at quarter time too, got a team next ranked around 430 so a good draw first up, not sure i want to go much further though cause it wrecked my minutes a little last season. I think the best way to make money though is hunt through the transfers and try to find a bargain. i brought a bloke last season for 1.05m and sold him 10 days later for 2m.
IN answer to Nugget i train 3 players, its not easy you have to pick and choose which player plays 48 min in which game and quite often something happens and all three dont get to 48. Like Iwen said they can pop if they dont get 48 but it rarely happens i had it happen 1 or 2 times last season. It seems to happen when a player hasnt popped in a while in a certain stat and he is really due for it.

but wont there be more chance of him getting injured if you get him to play a whole game out. I have been playing one of them as my starter and then the other as backup and then just switching them over next game.

No, makes no difference the length of time on the court.

I've been doing it for 7 seasons now with my trainees, it's fine.

OH HAIL NAW,

The great iwen has graced our league's forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sup dawg grats on u21 manager. But I've drawn a pretty strong 250 ranked team for my next cup match, means I can't TIE or play my reserves.... which really blows. Contemplating blowing up my team's finances to get to Div 2 this season, but I'm wary of Gold Nugget's impending spending spree which will effectively end anyone's chances of getting to div 2. QQ nugget.
