Oh ok. And also a slow pace offence should be ran by a bad shooting team and good at offensive flow.

Thank you all for your advice. Ended up winning the game (22445834), and that wouldn't certainly have happened if it wasn't for your help.

He ended up using the monster PF after all. This surprised me a bit as I was almost convinced he was taking care of his minutes. Luckily for me, the "crunch time" against his TIE certainly ruined it for him. Had he set a normal enthusiasm, I think he would have made it.
The funniest thing about this was both our failed tactics: I used Look Inside and he defended with 3-2, he used Motion and I chose a 2-3...

To sum this thread up: more than advice on how to deal with this match, you guys thought me some approaches to matches I never thought about: checking the opponent's season stats for important data like: Do his players have lots of turnovers? Does his team rarely shoot for 3? And so on: knowledge I'll use in the future.

Best regards, and good luck with your season!

Ahh, you're right, he didn't! For some reason I thought it was A. Capelo, instead of E. Antelo, both PFs, lol.

Well, in that case, I'm feeling even more thankful for the "you have a shot" messages, cheers!

I've been reading your thread since yesterday, and I must say: congratulations. I really don't care about the cup, I just wanted to, like you said, take care of my team's minutes. At least you (and everyone else that reads this thread) a bit (or a lot) more about tactics.

but in reallity, I never intended to go "all out". But it was kinda of funny that you did, oh well, if you really want, and need, the money from the cup, good luck. I don't, I just need to train train train.

ps: Antelo has probably never played a cup match since 2 seasons ago (or more). For me, the cup was never a real issue, and since 2, probably 3, seasons ago, I just used the cup matches like they're friendlies. I got my minutes, you got your victory. Win win situation.

Ohhh, think about the irony of this! You were aware of the thread all along, heheh.

I'm glad both of us got rewards from this then. To be honest, before creating the thread, I was considering throwing the game, as your team is clearly no match for me. I'd say I'm still curious to know what that guy would have done to my boys if he played. I'll remember to challenge you to a scrimmage in the future if you don't mind, would be a fun rematch.

/edit: Boa sorte na liga!

Hey, thanks mate, but let's not get too crazy: legendary, only when we meet on the cup. Ah, good old Joel vs Pjanic duel :D
