Sad. When I talked to him before his plan to was bank 10m and then fund a consecutive promotion push up to D.II. At the time he had millions in the bank already. Sad to see a active guy go bot, especially with all that money...

Wow, that's such an unfortunate turn of events. I was looking forward to my matchup with him.

@CDiddy - Another great piece.

Troutman's Scoring Earns Him First League MVP Nod

Just two seasons ago from today, Timothy Fuller of Delpra had claimed his second straight MVP hardware after leading Delpra to another winning, all-around efficient season. This time, however, the future Hall of Famer finished second in voting to none other than his own teammate, Clyde Troutman. After failing to advance past the semi-finals for 3 straight seasons, Troutman was brought in to provide much needed firepower from the perimeter and rejuvenate a stagnate offense that relied too heavily on Fuller's playmaking. After a rocky start, Troutman began to understand his role on the team as a scorer. Fuller took care of the rest with great passing, defense, rebounding, and even scoring. Together, they formed the perfect wingmen tandem.

Despite much lower scoring numbers at 17 ppg, Fuller looked as good as ever, averaging nearly 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1.5 steals. Many of his fans may even claim that Fuller deserved the MVP, and they may even have a strong case. However, it is hard to ignore Troutman's production this season. While he may not boast the same overall game that Fuller possesses, his scoring ability is without comparison. Troutman recorded 27.5 ppg in just 31 minutes per game on a extremely efficient 54% shooting. To provide contrast, Portarena of Raleigh Roughriders managed to put up 27.3 ppg in 42 minutes per game on 42% shooting.

All of this has translated into Delpra's first Finals trip, where they currently lead the Hornetss 1-0 in the series.

Nice write-up.
Well on your way in the series. About time Fuller-and-crew step into D.III.
Hoping that if you win you land in III.16; I'd love to continue that old rivalry again.

In those cases, I would highly advise saving up money and waiting it out for the season. Also make sure you don't relegate.
