Top 8 SBBL
Sessioes Doers
The most stable SBBL team. Even with similar lineup for more than 4 seasons, SD still able to maintain playoff rank in the much tougher SBBL competition nowadays. Something to say with their best defensive tower, SBBL best, Eike Balkhausen (12.4ppg 12.9rpg 2.2apg 2.5bpg). His 2.5bpg has made life easier for his other teammate, especially Phil Hanson (16.1ppg 12.9rpg) who is liability on defense. Their offensive ace is still relying on Columbian Ricardo Paz, averaging 25.6ppg. Prediction : Big 8 4th
Singapore Showstoppers
Similar as SD, SS hardly changed any lineup in last four season, except adding up extra strength on the middle by arriving Wojciech Troszczynski (21ppg 11rpg). That made SS a formidably dangerous inside team, earn them a solid position on Big 8 3rd. Noel Lima is still around with SS, averaging 18.9 ppg as the result of strategy change, and also 13rpg. Prediction : Big 8 3rd
Compassvale United
The real deal. The recent purchase of Ruudi Klaas and Tanausu Galeno, bound to add more firepower for the already crowded lineup. Along Eric United, Shohoku Backers, Whampoa & Xavis, CPU is one of these oldies club that able to survive on new era of SBBL. Although only led by Jonathan Goose 18 ppg, CPU team are deep with at least 10 player with almost same role. Think of the Memphis Grizzlies of year 2010. Prediction : Great 8 4th
Eric United
Was the most efficient team in running their offense last season, but slowed down recently due to injury of some role players. Peleg Schum (16ppg) and Rainer Mand (15ppg) were out from lineup since last week, and EU has lost two straight. Still led by superstar Augusto Gomez (16ppg 6apg) & Simavi Duyu (12.2ppg 8.9rpg). The emergence of Željko Krivokapic (10ppg 11rpg) has also helped to improve their inside defense. Prediction : Big 8 2nd
