D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 6 Recap (April 22, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Night of Buckets, Blunders & Bounce-Backs
Day 6 came in hot with statement wins, cold shooting streaks, and the kind of individual heroics that rewrite scouting reports. From blowouts to bounce-backs, here’s how the night unfolded across D.II.1:

Kings Knights Still Crowning
The Knights marched into southpaw territory and walked out with a 96-82 win—and a message. S. Myles was electric with 34 points, 7 boards, 4 steals, and an efficiency of 40, locking down MVP honors like a seasoned pro. With 21 team steals and a defensive edge sharp enough to cut glass, the Knights continue flexing on both ends.

TAR HEELS #1? More Like Tar Heels 136
The Heels stomped the Hooligans 136-72. This was less a basketball game and more a fast-break masterclass. Three players posted elite efficiency numbers—P. Mikos, I. Benslimane, and R. Caballero—like a trio of choreographed chaos. Best in points, blocks, and assists? The Tar Heels are turning the NBBA spotlight their way real fast.

Flying Ostriches Glide Again
After their Day 5 stumble, the Ostriches bounced back with a 125-87 thumping of Blue Ocean. L. Yanzhao led the way with 37 points in a redemption arc that screamed, “We’re still elite.”

Wavy Gates Open Wide
Wavy Gates crushed the Mildcats 99-50 behind E. Pease and his 7 triples. Efficient, ruthless, stylish—the kind of win that says, “We’re still a problem.”

SomeTeam Keeps Rising
Harbor City Storm got handled in a 114-87 rout led by the ever-dependable M. Ramasodi and some smooth ball movement. SomeTeam keeps climbing—and they’re not just “some team” anymore.

Village Idiots: Sharpest Tools in the Shed
A 121-102 win over Smallfries, 31 assists, and a quietly dominant performance from B. Dooley (10 ast) have Village Idiots looking like a squad with real cohesion and serious playoff vibes.

Wasted Potential, Real Results
Another win, another monster stat line—this time from G. Paciente, who pulled down 26 boards in a 93-76 victory over The White Mambas. L. Parra struggled (-8 efficiency), but the rest of the squad picked up the slack, especially on the glass.

Baker Street Irregulars Go Big
A 124-98 win over Big Forest sealed with 48 iron-man minutes from T. Gibbs. Baker Street’s offense continues to hum along with confidence and cohesion.

Crunch-Time Questions
Have the TAR HEELS #1 officially become the team no one wants to face?
Are Village Idiots lowkey contenders with that passing game?
Can Flying Ostriches build consistency after that bounce-back?
And southpaw army—hang in there.

Final Thought:
Day 6 felt like the league flipping into high gear. Contenders are separating, narratives are shifting, and some teams are finding out exactly who they are—for better or worse. If the first week is any indicator, this season’s scriptwriters deserve a raise. Bring on Day 7!

D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 7 Recap (April 26, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

When the Storms Hit and the Southpaws Slipped
Day 7 was a wild ride: massive blowouts, career nights, some brutal collapses, and one team that looked like it forgot what a basketball was. Let’s dive into the action that lit up D.II.1.

Harbor City Storm Bring the Thunder
Harbor City Storm outgunned Big Forest 123-114 in a high-scoring shootout. A. Freeman dished an eye-popping 20 assists and P. Runxin powered inside with 23 points and 14 boards. Storm’s ball movement (42 assists!) was pure poetry.

Wavy Gates Shuts Down TAR HEELS #1
Upset alert: Wavy Gates took down the surging Tar Heels 88-77. Physical defense and clutch shot-making slowed down one of the league’s hottest offenses. Huge playoff implications here.

Flying Ostriches Keep Soaring
The Ostriches continued their bounce-back campaign, rolling Village Idiots 108-92 behind D. Inceris, who posted a 26-12-4-3-1 masterpiece. He flew circles around the defense and grabbed MVP honors without breaking a sweat.

Kings Knights Show Championship Grit
Facing a fired-up Wasted Potential squad, the Knights took care of business, 89-75. They didn’t need style points—just execution. Gritty, professional, effective.

The White Mambas Maul Southpaw Army
127-37. No typo. Southpaw army barely cleared 30 points. Meanwhile, the White Mambas led the night in points, rebounds, and steals. T. Palaviaris was part of a defensive wall that allowed almost nothing.

Smallfries Make Big Waves
Smallfries dominated Blue Ocean 109-87, with G. Bandeira leading the charge. It’s becoming clear: this is not a team to overlook.

SomeTeam Wins a Slugfest
SomeTeam edged out Baker Street Irregulars 86-74 in a defensive grind. D. Nucaro (19 rebounds) and E. Utters (top efficiency at 20.0) kept the machine rolling.

Hemet Hooligans Find Their Groove
A 109-52 blowout of the Mildcats gave Hemet a much-needed jolt. T. Murrell hit 6 triples and the defense smothered everything in sight.

Crunch-Time Questions
• Has Harbor City Storm found their next gear?
• Can Wavy Gates turn this upset into real momentum?
• Are southpaw army approaching rock bottom—or breaking through it?
• Will Flying Ostriches ride D. Inceris to a top seed?

Final Thought:
Day 7 was messy, brilliant, chaotic—and exactly why we love D.II.1. Teams are sharpening up (or falling apart) as the playoff picture begins to take real shape.

Grab your popcorn for Day 8. It’s about to get even crazier.

D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 8 Recap (April 29, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Smallfries Sizzle, Mambas Meltdown, and Pease Puts on a Show

Just when you thought Season 68 had peaked, Day 8 comes in swinging with offensive explosions, shocking flops, and a few stat lines worth framing. Let’s break it down.

Heat Check: Smallfries and TAR HEELS #1 on Fire

Smallfries threw a 134-point party and invited Big Forest to suffer through it. A dazzling 42 assists and six players in double digits had them looking like the most fluid offense in the league. Calderón and Meroni were artists, painting the stat sheet.

TAR HEELS #1 did what TAR HEELS #1 do—smash. A 76-point win over southpaw army while grabbing 63 rebounds? That’s not a game; that’s a clinic.

Meanwhile, Wavy Gates decimated The White Mambas by 85 points behind a sharp 28-point effort from E. Pease, the night’s MVP. Wavy’s 15 blocks set the tone, and Pease was all gas, no brakes.

The Ostriches Glide Again

Flying Ostriches bounced back in a gritty 94-87 win over SomeTeam. D. Inceris led with swagger and strength, and they held off a 22-rebound night from E. Utters. Quietly, the Ostriches are rebuilding serious momentum.

Kings of Kings Knights

Another game, another beatdown. Kings Knights dismantled Hemet Hooligans 115–50. S. Myles and the defense locked in, racking up 12 steals and making it look too easy. This team plays with championship intensity.

The Shockers

Corntucky Mildcats stunned Wasted Potential 74–55, behind strong inside play and solid perimeter D. If this is a turning point, it’s a much-needed one.

And finally—Blue Ocean swam through Harbor City Storm with control and confidence. Q. Silva anchored with a quiet yet impactful double-double (plus 4 blocks). Don’t sleep on the Ocean.

Final Thoughts

• Smallfries are starting to look scary good—can they sustain this form?
• Have the White Mambas officially waved the white flag?
• Kings Knights continue to dominate both ends with ruthless consistency.
• Wavy Gates look deeper, faster, and hungrier every week.
• Is it time for a rebuild talk in Hemet?

Only a third of the way through, and D.II.1 already feels like a thriller series. Bring on Day 9.

D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 9 Recap (May 3, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Blowouts, Beatdowns, and Bandeira’s Barrage
Day 9 delivered sheer destruction from the top squads. A trio of 120+ performances, one historic team-wide block party, and a couple of teams that didn’t even show up. Some stars made statements—others disappeared.

Blue Ocean Drowns Big Forest
128-71. The score says it all. Blue Ocean unloaded on Big Forest with 128 points, 71 boards, and 13 steals. C. Villaruel dished 10 assists and G. Calhoun swiped 4 steals. This was ruthless domination from tip-off.

Flying Ostriches Cook the Storm
Flying Ostriches continue their red-hot run, torching Harbor City Storm 112-75. Clinical ball movement and suffocating defense stifled the Storm from the start. The Ostriches have shaken off their early-season struggles.

Village Idiots Cruise Past SomeTeam
In a controlled 86-63 win, the Idiots showed poise and polish. L. Portobello led with 48 minutes of effort, while E. Irwin drew whistles all night but kept the team on track.

Baker Street Rises Again
The Irregulars ground out a 92-84 win over the White Mambas. Veteran guard H. Sotelo was an ironman, logging 48 minutes in a war of attrition. It wasn’t pretty—but it was gritty.

Wavy Gates Blow the Doors Off
125-73. Wavy Gates ran laps around the disjointed southpaw army. H. Al-Abdel turned in a monster all-around night (17-8-3-2-4), and the Gates defense had the visitors in shackles. Not close.

Kings Knights Outlast the Tar Heels
The Knights took a close one, 95-87, over a scrappy TAR HEELS #1 squad. A. Olsen was sensational: 25 points, 6 boards, and key buckets in crunch time. Championship mettle on full display.

Wasted Potential Lives Up to the Name (in a Good Way)
120-54. This wasn’t a game—it was a demolition. L. Pelowski put up a sizzling 35-6-2-2 line with 44 efficiency. S. Dogruel swatted 7 shots as Hemet Hooligans got completely overwhelmed.

Smallfries Deep-Fry the Mildcats
G. Bandeira was on one. A 38-point, 6-rebound, 3-assist, 2-steal, 4-block explosion put Smallfries in cruise control over Corntucky. B. Cümşüdov added 24 boards to complete the destruction.

Crunch-Time Questions
• Is Blue Ocean peaking too soon—or just getting started?
• Will Smallfries’ dynamic duo carry them to a deep run?
• Are the Hooligans officially in freefall?
• Can Kings Knights keep winning tight ones?

Final Thought:
Day 9 was a showcase of firepower and failure. The contenders are separating from the pretenders. Some teams are surging—others just sinking. One thing’s clear: the league’s top dogs are hungry, and nobody’s safe.

Day 10 could be a bloodbath. Buckle up!
