I never said I wanted to run inside. In fact in my first post I said I knew I wasn't doing that.

Manon I wish what you are saying is true but with a well constructed team (I.E one that can play LI) I don't think this game incentivizes nearly as much tactical variation as you are implying. Sure there is the odd team with bad OD and good ID in d4 but they are the exception not the rule.

Can't say for sure without knowing the whole builds on the OP's team but it seems like LI will be his best play the vast majority of the time. If that's not the case he should buy new guards with better DR/IS and make it true. Pretty boring I know but it's the game we play.

And since we're discussing the OP's opponent who is the poster child for the exception to the rule, it's not at all out of the ordinary to suggest that for this particular game it would be absolutely better to run an outside offense.

His opponent had 4.5 OD and 5.5 ID. Also this game has already passed so I assumed he was trying to make a more general point.

I'm trying to say this without sounding like a jackhole, but I've typed it and every time I read it it comes across like that, so I'll apologize in advance and assure you I mean this respectfully.

He posted on 12/9, talking about the guy he was playing next. His last game was 12/8. He also mentioned that his opponent plays 5 Cs (and I forgot if he also mentioned this or not, but the opponent also always plays 2-3). He's definitely talking about his opponent tonight, who puts up OD ratings in the pitiful-awful range, but OD in the average-strong range.

Clearly a 4 OD vs. 5 ID differential isn't one to dramatically change one's offense for. A 2 OD vs. 7 ID range on the other hand pretty much compels one to run an outside offense unless they're built with all centers as well, in which case we can sit back and laugh as the donkeys play soccer as much as basketball.

My bad, not sure how I made that mistake.

Nothing wrong with correcting me when I am mistaken, in fact I encourage it. Carry on

So, on his team full of centers, the guy who actually played at center went 1-12. Ha!

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Its all that's important until you need the point diff for a tie breaker, and heaven forbid if its for promotion status or 5th place or something important.
