Black Diamond fought off Shohoku Backers 100-80 in a tense fashioned match.

Jaguar's reporters were at BD's Extreme Arena to witness a 'playoff-like' matches.

Black Diamonds Fidel Badia scored 41 pts and 22 rebs, poweed BD to a big lead throughout three quarters and never looked back, and finished at 100-80.

The game was featured with plenty of elbows were thrown and some hard fouls. At three minutes before quarter 2, Sertug Acay and Ahmad Islam were found taunted each other. On next possession, Sertug Acay layup were sent rolling to outside the court by Islam. Yellow Card were given to Ahmad Islam, who seemed aggresive on that game.

Later on 3rd quarter when BD lead were 67-46, another hard shot were done Shohoku Backers Daugalis Ċ pilevskis to BD's Jakub Polewski, which almost ignited a brawl between Ahmad Islam , Fidel Badia with Daugalis Ċ pilevskis & Sertug Acay. No technicals were given. Although missing their versatile player, BD still able to hold on for the victory.

Ahmad Islam scored 27pts and 10rebs. Ke Qinghan has 12pts and 10assists. Zoran JuriĊĦić led Shohoku with 24pts. Sertug Acay has 11pts and 14rebs before fouled out midway of 4th quarter.

Meanwhile at Tribuana arena, Huo Xiangsong 20pts and 13rebs led Pekanbaru Jaguars to fend off the speedy Eric United 92-76. Although without 2 of their starters, EU still looked deadly as always. Jaguars' new PG Valentine Musso, were outplayed by EU Augusto Gomez, playing only 19minutes and fouled out. Carlo Manca & FJ Parrado scored each 18pts. Augusto Gomez led EU with 26pts.

A tight game between old nemesis Xavis & Whampoa All-star, ended up with Whampoa narrow victory 125-123. With Whampoa seemed to secure victory with 120-112 in 90 seconds to play, Fulvio De Meo fueled Xavis for 8-0 run to tied the game at 120-120 with his 3pointer, but Li Wen Keng commited a foul that sent Krassowski to the line. He made 1 of 2. Xavis unable to score on next possession, and letting Whampoa to secure the victory by adding another FT.

Stefan Fedko 25pts brought Shwe Toe Ngal to beat the still laid back EBC 93-72. The victory kept STN to stay on the top spot of Great 8.

Top 8 SBBL

Sessioes Doers
The most stable SBBL team. Even with similar lineup for more than 4 seasons, SD still able to maintain playoff rank in the much tougher SBBL competition nowadays. Something to say with their best defensive tower, SBBL best, Eike Balkhausen (12.4ppg 12.9rpg 2.2apg 2.5bpg). His 2.5bpg has made life easier for his other teammate, especially Phil Hanson (16.1ppg 12.9rpg) who is liability on defense. Their offensive ace is still relying on Columbian Ricardo Paz, averaging 25.6ppg. Prediction : Big 8 4th

Singapore Showstoppers
Similar as SD, SS hardly changed any lineup in last four season, except adding up extra strength on the middle by arriving Wojciech Troszczynski (21ppg 11rpg). That made SS a formidably dangerous inside team, earn them a solid position on Big 8 3rd. Noel Lima is still around with SS, averaging 18.9 ppg as the result of strategy change, and also 13rpg. Prediction : Big 8 3rd

Compassvale United
The real deal. The recent purchase of Ruudi Klaas and Tanausu Galeno, bound to add more firepower for the already crowded lineup. Along Eric United, Shohoku Backers, Whampoa & Xavis, CPU is one of these oldies club that able to survive on new era of SBBL. Although only led by Jonathan Goose 18 ppg, CPU team are deep with at least 10 player with almost same role. Think of the Memphis Grizzlies of year 2010. Prediction : Great 8 4th

Eric United
Was the most efficient team in running their offense last season, but slowed down recently due to injury of some role players. Peleg Schum (16ppg) and Rainer Mand (15ppg) were out from lineup since last week, and EU has lost two straight. Still led by superstar Augusto Gomez (16ppg 6apg) & Simavi Duyu (12.2ppg 8.9rpg). The emergence of Ċ½eljko Krivokapic (10ppg 11rpg) has also helped to improve their inside defense. Prediction : Big 8 2nd

Other 4 SBBL..... to be continue......
