RIP to Harold Miner's gallbladder. Gone, but not forgotten.
Hope you're feeling better my dude!
Regarding A Warrior's post, I really like these buzzerbeater stories!
Mine is similar. I played the game once before (maybe twice?) and I remember having a perennial all-star trainee that came with my team (back when that meant a little more than it does now, even though it was never that great) and he basically led me to DII in a very exciting manner. Of course, he capped out and I didn't plan ahead for what I would do in DII if I did make it (plus, there might not have been promotion money back then, but don't quote me on that). So, realizing I would have to tank, I quit. Now I'm back and I played the long game. Basically, all I want to do is win just one championship and I'm good. Like, I get that it won't make me considered great or anything (and heck, I still don't understand anything about the game engine), but if I could win just one championship, I'd seriously consider either retiring from the game or just training NT players after that.
Unfortunately, it looks like I made some hasty moves and built my team around a concept that I thought MIGHT work, even though it wasn't part of the current meta, but clearly is not working. After seeing how they're struggling this season against teams I would have thought I should beat handily, plus seeing how Mountain Eagles's roster construction basically has me in a box, I'm going to have to figure out a way to retool.
In the word's of Greg Popovich, "it's not supposed to be easy" :)
