I'm playing Glenelg Tigers from Div. II, thought about CT just to see how close I could get it but then decided just to play Normal.

I guess my focus is going to be more on training and avoiding relegation.

All the best for everyone in their Cup games.

yea in div III, its a very fine balance between winning cup games and remaning competitive in the league. A league win is almost a weeks porofit in div III and can make a lot of difference come the end of the year if you have won a few instead losing week 1.

Although i should get thru, im playing all my backups with only 1 other guy to help out all positions, whilst most of my guys will get a break. Plus i think i might tie in the tournament games to concentrate on the league. Hopefully this works, an extra 50k in the bank is always handy.

Hey guys,

i have a question that i cant really find the answer to. I am thinking of buying a 3rd trainee, but that would mean that they would have to get exactly 48 minutes each per week (unlikely). I was wondering if any of you guys knew how the training worked once a player doesnt reach 48 minutes in a week.

The game manual say that "Players should ideally get 48 minutes per week, or one full game, in order to get the maximum benefit from their training. If they play more than 48 minutes, this is not a problem. If players play under 48 minutes, they will still improve, but less quickly than they would if they got more playing time."

However, this is open as it just say less quickly. Is it that if he plays say 36 minutes in a week that he will get 75% of a full training because of 36/48???

I know, he paid $1.47m about a month ago, so I think he'll soon find himself broke after paying a further 214k pw to one guy. I CT'd it because I took it easy through the first 2 league games and consequently had some in the tank. Up 8 as I speak!

Looks like I smashed my opponent :) Very proud of the boys ;) Tell you what were definetely an underdog side who manages to win :)

Now i just have to hope for an easy next round :/

How'd you guys go??

Also gold nuggets, i dont really have an answer to your question i hope someone else does but I think the best way for your traniees to get the minutes is obvioulsy play them 1 full game each but this is really hard to do and can stuff you up. So i just think if its your 3rd trainiee not getting the full minutes that it doesn't matter too much unless he is really good.. and if that is the case i'd say sell him... But yea as long on your two better trainees are getting full training minutes just be happy with that and settle for you third trainee getting the scraps :P But don't really have an answer to your question just bored and felt like writing a response thou:P

The loss in training if a player doesn't get 48 minutes isn't linear. If he gets 40 minutes instead of 48, it's more a 50% drop in training than a 17% drop in training.

Regarding training 3 trainees at a time (single position), I do it all the time.

The key is to prioritise the trainees. The 2 most important trainees get the first two games of the week, if they don't get their 48 due to foul out, bad coach substitutions or injuries, you play them in the 3rd game to make up the minutes. The 3rd guy gets the full 48 only if the first two do, and if he doesn't get the full 48 minutes, that's ok.

So making the two best trainees a priority is the way to go, and the 3rd guy is along for the ride (assuming there's room).

Fantastic! next week up against a rank 500 team, woot. I can just keep playing my scrim team, easy.

Also great job to everyone who won their cup game, and bud luck to those who didn't.
