Yeah managers do some crazy things when they don't have to actually talk face to face to their players, for example throw away games. who wants to play for a manager that has such little confidence in the teams abilities that they dont even give the team a chance to win. (I know its just a game that people play for fun, i just got a little angry there)

Hey I understand but in this game especially it is a game of enthusiasm and game shape so it appears Prov did not think he would beat you and wanted to get the enthusiasm. Hey take it from me I lost to you in 5 OT's I wish I had had more enthusiasm then. lol and I TIE'd that game if I remember. Anything can happen.

I had zero chance even with my starters in there. Is it OK to communicate a mutual TIE? I don't wan't to do something unethical!

can't be more unethical than throwing a game :). Yeah its probably not a good idea to have teams telling each other that they will TIE, that could end up with a whole division taking every game easy untill playoffs so that everyone has elevated enthusiasm

1. E.C. High-Flyers looked very impressive in their win against Hawks. Hawks did put less into the game, but that still doesnt make it an easy win congrats.

2. KA-BAAM Avalos just shot to the top of the rpg this week. He went from not on the list to #1. The reason: he hadnt played the minimum games to be able to be on the list. I would have had the #1 and #2 spot for most rpg but Statovci dropped a lot after only picking up 4 rebounds in a game that he barely played because my opponent didnt put up a fight. It's weird how after every team has played one another and the Illusion big men have proved they aren't the best, they still managed to be high on the rpg list.

3. We are going into the home stretch towards playoffs now, and its now or never (or next season) for teams to make it to a playoff spot or a non-relegation spot. I'm excited to see how the playoff matchups end up, especially now that the first place side on both the great 8 and big 8 are in heavy contention.

Honestly guys, I have been in communicato for the past week or so about TIE vs NORM with my opponenets. I think because back in season 4 when I started, my league did it, and I've done it ever since. There are definitive ethical boundaries we can draw within the game, but I do not believe that wanting to help other owners while not hurting yourself is unethical. Make sense?

Day 17 was one of the craziest of all.

Hawks were stunned by Flyers and suffered one of the the heaviest defeats of their history. Billon has been injured at the very beginning and Salisbury was benched so Hawks' 2 best guys weren't on the court most of the game, but Flyers still deserve a lot of credit. 92-65. They look relatively safe from relegation and might have a shot at playoffs.

Booshes took over the top seed with an impressive win over streaking Cresleys.111-83. They were dominant in the paint as usual.

Steppers were so close to pull the win against Gavno but Chow's buzzerbeater lifted Gavno past them. 111-113.

In a tight race where only 1 point can determine the 1st seed, Illusion grabbed a huge win over Investors. 139-92. 6 players from Illusion scored double digits. TIE'ing sacrificing point difference or doing the opposite and sacrificing enthusiasm is a tough decision these two managers will have to face through out the remainder of the regular season.

Chicago finally won a game and snapped the losing streak. Dragons 103- Goats 105. It was another game decided by a buzzerbeater, Capps made a perfect last second shot and saved the day. Dragons were again close to winning but again they fell short.

Crazy's did a great job at Magic and climbed to 3rd seed. 85-88. Magic made a vital mistake and made a shot clock violation on the last ball.

Rip City was active on the transfer market this week, and recent signing Sabo helped them to beat Tachenko. 79-70.

Bangers climb to 4th seed thanks to their win against Knicks.123-92. Christian Mark missed the triple double with 2 assists but played a big role on the win. Bangers are one of the 3 teams with a positive point difference on Big 8 and the interpretation is equal wins means Dragons prevail.

Chow recorded 49 points including a buzerbeater, 17 boards and 2 dimes and well deserved to be the player of the day.

From now on, there's no such thing as easy game, but games of the Saturday will be Booshes @ Tachenko and Goats @ Bangers.

Thanks again for the recap.

I'll weigh in that I see nothing wrong with mutual TIE agreements. It is a simulator and Illusions is right that this strategy would never work if these were real, live players. But it is part of the game. You still need to use strategy in deciding when to offer them and when not to offer them. And you need to decide if you can afford to have the other person not respect that agreement. You also need to remember if they ever do not hold to the agreement so they can't burn you again down the road.

The ethical part/problem comes in when you have a mutual agreement for TIE and then the other player doesn't. That happened to me in D IV.......granted this isn't IV but that is a huge ethics problem. lol.

If it makes everyone feel better I have basicallly played my backups against the Hawks, Booshes, Gavano, and Booshes. I would not consider it "throwing" games". If I can't win then I focus on minutes management for game shape and training. If I were the Illusion I would have TIE against me. I could crunch and you could TIE and I would still loose by 25 at home!

I started out 1 and 5.. I agree that my additions of Abbondaza and Hinterwerth have been key.. so has my choice to move my future hall of famer/ original member Liang Minghao to a 6 man role.. Im not really decided on the whole TIE mutal thing.. I have done it before, but I played my best players and it wasnt a "Tank game"
