I think everyone talking about choice is right, no point taking away another option on how to play the game but training game shape still seems to give some players (in some situations) a pretty big advantage..

I don't want to move the discussion away from the original topic but maybe the answer is to change normal training, so maybe any players that get 40+ minutes of training the week before not only get their pops but a temporary performance boost for the next week?

Just remove GS,ST,FT from Trainer totally and just for co-tainers and it is better to be expensive to hire these guys or make them less effective for team maybe 1 or 2 pops per season for ST.Wouldn't it be good?

Come on Marin, please...consider removing this for the big 30th season...
I would consider this the best thing you can give us, and it is so simple to do :S

I also like Sparkys idea of the money %, but I really think GS training needs to leave BB now, lots of users are quiting because of it :S

I'd only want to remove GS training if GS management was, well, more manageable.

Currently, there are few windows of 'minutes played' that give you more than a 60% chance of increasing an 8 to a 9 or keeping a 9 at a 9. And that is with a massage doctor on staff. If that increased to 80% or so, I'd be fine getting rid of GS training.

So you prefer that players who like training are can't win championships because they can't reach others GS's...I love training and when I got an important game against somebody that got 8/10 players on the best Shape U get mad, and usually those teams avg age is like 32y....it's sad

It doesn't mean you can't win a championship if you're training, it just means you have to pick and choose during the important weeks.
I've had seasons where I train all season long, but then have to stop training skills so I can train GS for the week leading up to the playoffs. If I didn't do that there was no way I could have won my playoff series.

The problem, to me, with taking away GS training, is that you leave too much up to chance in terms of what your GS will be. since even if you play optimal minutes, there is still a near 40% chance that your GS will drop, or not increase (if you're at 7 or 8).

My main reason for training is to make my players go to NT's, that's why I don't miss 2/3 weeks for season on GS. I normally miss 1 for Resistance, that's all.

I agree with this. I think a good management of minutes should be rewarded with a guarantee of increase of GS.
For example, this week i had a drop from 2.2k DMI to 1.1k DMI of a key player that palyed 59 minutes last week !!
And a player with 68-57-70 minutes is 7 GS in all 3 weeks; also a player 67-76-63 is 7 GS for all 3 weeks.

Because of this, if i'm going to play a championship final or a game cup final, i'll train GS the week before, no doubt.
