Good point.

I was trying to make sense of all the commentary from guys that are no longer in Div II or higher? Makes me wonder how this Div is such a tough one and prepares teams so well in promotion, why it is so many of the past champs are now back in Div III or lower, and not just to do training...

It's so hard to promote to Div 2 that you'd have to have a good reason to roll over and drop back to div 3.

I think Hookz stepped away from the game for a while and is back to D4. Vis and Glads are still D2. Hippos and Rangas both back to D3 after 2 and 1 wins for the season in II.3 last season.

Would be interesting to hear from them about where their teams are at and if they have any advice for long term survival at D2 level

yuppers tills is right.. RL got the better of me at the moment, so have taken the foot off the accelerator and am happy to be in a league of bots so i can do what i want how i want, till ready to come back into it :D

i am literally against 15 bots so should promote, at which point i will hopefully have a couple of decent trainees on the go, and about 4-5m in the bank... maybe more!

I chose to tank.
I wanted to restructure my team away from Gab Wall.
I could have stayed in div 2 indefinitely to be honest, but it would have been super boring for me.
so I'm choosing to take a different path.

Bains is a great manager and I have a lot of respect for him.
our rivalry is a lot of fun and I enjoy it.
also he smells and i beat him!
that's all..

Your right tills. Obviously Skyhook stepped back for RL issues. But before he stepped back he was 2nd in his conference. Ranga spent a good 4 seasons I think in II.3, so his team was prepared to handle it, just fell into a rut progression wise. Hippo I think was just cashing in on making some better money as his young blokes are probably a season or two off really competing in div 2. I am sire he could've found a way to stay. Kilrtom and myself are obviously still up there. He has been near the top of his division for most the time. I only fought a relegation battle because I really went hard at the cup. Then you have Brett, of ACT Blaze who has retained his spot in II.4 for around 5 seasons. However he does seem to be stuck in a similar rut to ranga. So I wouldn't be surprised if he drops back down. And lastly Many men who you guys had last season had a 5 season stint in div 2 where he made the PO's a few times and then he only dropped down through losing interest. The league certainly acts as a good stepping stone if one wishes to take that opportunity
