Coins had a nice and easy ride on the Nevada Saucer. We'll find out tomorrow if he can walk :)

Wasn't that easy... Pretty annoyed that my most expensive player fouled out.

Otherwise very happy to kick off with a win.

Really good to see a bunch of close games to start with.

Nice write up, I thought this would be a good chance to introduce myself round here.

The bongo players have been around since 2010 finally getting out of div3 into a tough league ! Like you alluded too I'll add some pieces for the future this season and to be relatively competitive(hopefully all aussie, also looking for an aussie guard trainee preferably 18) but I might hold back from big acquisitions as I just don't have the right mix for the playoffs up here yet!

I'm interested in building a premier sf or good combo players that can work in different positions fr different styles. I've achieved that to some degree with Eads (lacks offensive punch, compared to other players in his mould)and Arrowsmith (almost rounded off to what i need)but my main focus is D.Kaiser (unfortunately English not Aussie). In hoping he will become the centrepiece off my team in div2 league in the future. These players take time as we know but I find that enjoyable in this game as they create great mismatches, and their salary is very affordable for what they add.

P.s bear with me, using my phone as we're still waiting on tpg !

One week down and thre has been a few interesting results - Coin Collectors are looking good early (I'm not hitting on you btw) and the west coast steel have snagged 2 early wins. In the big 8 things are wide open with 6 teams on 1-1.

How is everyone feeling early on?

Hah, thanks.

I am so far underwhelmed with my teams performances.
a win is a win, however I would expect more from my starting 5.

I hope with improved GS and Enth that they start to show their value.

Well well, the seasons only two games old but most teams are looking very close this season. Be interesting to see who decides to make a run for it, or who decides to tank it out.

The Great 8 BHB and Coins are looking like the teams to beat this season, and I would think the chumps, even with their poor start, will be making a run for it sooner or later. Heres a recap of the Tuesday Night games!

Vis Maior vs. peaceNroll 84 - 90 (56163502
(http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/56163502/boxscore.aspx)

Well PNR's team came out to play in their 1st home game of the season. I knew I was going to be behind in Enthusiasm this game and rather than throwing it, decided to go for the win with another PAN.

It did come down to the final minutes and with PNRs two starters taking injuries, i thought the VM crew might steal a win. However good D stopped any further assault and PNR came out deserving winners by 6.

Good impact 48min game by PNR trainee Kostis Nikoloyiannis. He's looking good as a outside SF.

Johnterbury Bulldogs vs. Chumunga 112 - 100 (56163501)

Prolly the match and upset of the night. A nice early TV game and the Bulldogs went crunch time and pulled off a remarkable 4th quarter to win by 12. It was a close game through the first 3 quarters but the extra effort put in by the Bulldogs really showed in the 4th.

PG Cousins the standout of the night for the Bulldogs with 32 pts from the PG position. Bulldogs are now 2 of 2 in their first Div II games. On the other side, ABBL demote Chumps are now 0 of 2. Ouchie!

Melbourne Redbacks vs. North Carlton Cavaliers 100 - 110 (56163503
(http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/56163503/boxscore.aspx)

Both teams took it easy in this match up, but there was no love lost between these old dogs. NCC's outside defence the stand out in this game, giving them the W with a nice +11 pt 3rd quarter.

Both teams should be strong in their next match ups. Watch out for the NCC as a outside chance to push deep into the season and playoffs.

Pittura Rosso vs. The Bongo players 75 - 79 (56163504)

Bongos came up with a Nice W at home tonight, with their new players marking their territory and pulling off a close win. The Pitt Rossos put more into this game and this might cost them their next few games in this tight Div 2 league.

puffy_jnch vs. Billy Hoyles Boys 69 - 88 (56163505)

Well BHB were the deserving favorites at home against the cheats, however the game was relatively close until the 4th quarter where BHB's team showed their class and kicked the cheats ass. Standout for BHB was their PG M.Edwards who shot 9/16 and 4/6 from the 3pt line.

The cheats (puffy) now go 0 and 2 while BHB remain defeated.

Melbourne Demons vs. Coin Collectors 77 - 93 (56163506)

Well the Coins certainly did spend a lot of coin early this season and early in this game, it looked like the coin was wasted. However the Coins came good at home with huge 2nd and 4th quarters to easily take the W by 16 pts. Standout for the coins being the 125k center Pupovac. Be a interesting team to watch once game shape and enthusiasm becomes a bigger factor.

Demons looked promising early, possibly need some stamina training to keep their players going strong! Coins join BHB as undefeated so far this season!

Nevada Saucers vs. Henley Beach Hawks 68 - 88 (56163507)

Saucers looked good early but fell apart late in the game to lose this one on the road. Largely due to training mins I believe.
Might be a long season for both these teams as the Great 8 looks strong this season!

BrisvegasSpurs vs. West Coast Steel 85 - 98 (56163508)

WEST COAST! Good to see some old skool teams back in action where it counts. WCS the deserving winners in this one after putting more in at home to seal the W. Be interesting to see how much cashola the WEST COAST has saved up and if they are willing to buy up later in the season.

WCS now go undefeated to 2 and 0, while the Spurs fall to 5th spot on the ladder.

BOOM thats it for the Tuesday games. +BALL if you like these recaps and ill keep em coming!
