We took a loss today to Malaysia 82-68 but were already advancing to the second round so I didn't want to burn any enthusiasm. Malaysia did use more enthusiasm and will be in our next group.

Second group should look like this:

China
Singapore
Nippon
Hong Kong
Malaysia
Prathet Thai

That is indeed exactly what our group is. The schedule looks like this:

Prathet Thai
Singapore
China
Hong Kong
Malaysia

I think we will get 2 of these, 3 if we're smart, and 4 if we're lucky. China is the heavy favorite so not even going to attempt to beat them and their monster bigs. Keep up the training and GS minutes to give us the best chance in this round!

Rank is still 62 but now we are at 127.4, making the season increase 6 and 16.5.

We took the first game of the second group 90-78 over Prathet Thai. PD could have been more but Kanazawa only played 11 minutes before getting injured for the game. Komagata paced us with 31 points while we had double-doubles from Nozawa(14 points, 22 rebounds) and Nagashima(13 points, 16 rebounds).

We will next take on Singapore who is 0-1 in the group after falling to Malaysia.

Our rank improved to 59 with 144.6 ranking points, making the seasons increases 9 and 33.7.

We got an 11 point win over Singapore today to move to 2-0 in the group! Our 60-49 win was fueled by double-digit scoring efforts from Nagashima(15 points), Kuramoto(14 points), and Sakuma(12 points). Nagashima also pulled down 23 rebounds!

We are now 2-0 in the group and 2nd in the standings. We will next face powerhouse China and try to keep it as close as we can for Point Differential.

What a jump! We are now ranked 49 with 163.9 ranking points. Those are season increases of 19 and 53.

We are also 7th among Asia nations behind China, Hong Kong, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Lost to China by 48, but that was expected. Sakuma scored 27 as we ran French Patient, but their bigs, and entire team, were too much for us anyway. We are now 2-1 and play the other 2-1 teams to close out the season. We need wins over them both to advance.
