Shocked to see Vecx go out, I thought he was nailed on for the tournament, so well done to Cranston for the upset.

QUARTER FINALS SUMMARY
The quarter finals saw all four fixtures have an EBBL side compete against a division II side, with both bidding to make the semi finals. The games saw all the favourites prevail with none of the division II sides able to keep in touch with the class of the top division sides. Silent Hill were closest in causing an upset against Camborne Crusaders but the latter delivered a terrific second quarter display to win 88-103. The T20 Cricketers were the next closest but never really troubled Sabre Of Valiente who run out comfortable winners by a margin of 26 whilst the other two games saw the EBBL sides, new jersey2 and Los Mikitos, run out victorious in excess of 40 points.

The draw for the semis saw four EBBL teams left standing, featuring two from each conference. As it happens, both games are inter-conference battles as Camborne Crusaders play new jersey2 and Los Mikitos bid to become the fifth team to win back-to-back cups but have Sabre of Valiente standing in their tracks.

Teams are as follows:
EBBL (4/16)
II.1 (0/16)
II.2 (0/16)
II.3 (0/16)
II.4 (0/16)

Good luck to the four remaining teams.

SEMI-FINAL SUMMARY
The semis consisted of four strong EBBL sides bidding for a place in this years national tournament final. Only one of the previous four have ever reached the final, with last seasons winner Los Mikitos achieving that. The game between Sabre of Valiente and Los Mikitos saw both teams go hammer and tong at each other all game with the latter going through to book his place in consecutive finals despite the best efforts of Alcide Steffan who amassed 48 points. The other game saw new jersey2 compete against Camborne Crusaders in what was another great match up with the former displaying an illustrious performance in the second half to win by a score of 123-109 with Alencar Fu putting into a star-studded performance, bagging 52 points which included 11 three-pointers.

That means this season's final see's the battle of two sides from the Great 8 conference in the EBBL with Los Mikitos matching up against new jersey2. Los Mikitos will be looking to become the fifth team to win consecutive cups whilst the latter will be competing in their first ever tournament final. Good luck to both teams in what should be a superb game.

FINALS SUMMARY
After nine rounds of intense match ups, it came down to two EBBL teams standing in each others way to claiming the national tournament for season 34. Los Mikitos were looking to regain their crown whilst new jersey2 were competing in their first ever cup final.

The game started with Los Mikitos on the front foot as he outscored his opponent by ten in the first quarter to get the ball rolling however the second quarter was in polar opposite of the first as new jersey2 clawed their way back to reduce the defecit by two however they were dealt a huge blow as centre, Ensio Mikonsaari, left the field injured after impressing with 17 points and 7 rebounds. The score was 59-57 heading into the half time interval. Both teams came out with the same attitude as the game way played at an extremely quick pace, entertaining 19656 fans in the Camborne Coliseum as Mikitos managed to drag their lead out to four points, after edging the third quarter. The final quarter was back and fourth and thanks to Neal Farley's three pointer, new jersey2 were all square in the last seconds of regulation time with the score at 104 each to send the game into overtime.

The first period of overtime could not split the teams as both teams could not grab the initiative. With one second on the clock, Pierre Geslin, must have thought he won it for Los Mikitos as his bucket made the score 116-114 but Neal Farley landed some clutch free throws to send the game into double overtime.

The second period saw Los Mikitos grab the game by the scruff of the neck to win the game as new jersey2 were unable to contain their opponents offence which blossomed as the quarter went on to end one of the greatest finals in history and to make Los Mikitos become the sixth team to regain back-to-back tournament crowns.

FINALS MVP
The Bosnian Centre for Los Mikitos, Miloš Kalajdžić, benefited hugely from the injury to Mikonsaari and dominated the game from there on in with a wonderful performance as he amassed a total of 40 points, as well as grabbing 13 rebounds and 3 steals.

What a great game to end another great season of match ups. It's been fun to do the forum again and to hear the opinions and discussions after games, thanks all for your contribution.
