What up Midland!? Welcome to the league!
My advise to you would be, don't get to frustrated the first season, ask lots of questions and listen to anything Morwood or Toronto Raptor tell you.
Oh yeah, one more thing........... If you have a girlfriend, she won't get it, so don't bother trying to explain it. :P
Take it easy.

hey man, welcome to the league. I'll start by saying that this game is awesome, I really enjoy it but it is a game that takes time. Not time in the way that you have to spent hours and hours at the computer trying to improve your team, but time in the way that Rome wasn't build in a day. So my advice for you would be think about building your team with the future in mind. They are nice enough to give us a decent amount of starting cash and some more in the coming weeks for you, don't spend impulsively cause there's no rush. Things you can do right now, start getting some scouting points because your team isn't going to be competitive at this point so you can make the most out the draft in the next season. I see you fired most of your team and are trying to sell the young players with potential, I don't think that was the best idea because they were assets no matter how little and now you still have to pay the minimum weekly salary and your not using it on players that you could have kept for free basically. They could have been backups or sumthing in the future that you would not have had to spend some capital on. Anyway it's too late for that. Let's see, I would go read the philosopher king's guide to BB on the help section of the forums. Anything you may need is going to be there for you and I have gone back to it countless times to check stuff. So you get 3 draft picks in the draft, get scouting points on try to get some good selections in next years draft. Also try to pick good players at a similar position if you can, you're going to want to train 3 trainees to be one position. So save up your funds, get some good trainees, build your arena over time and read that guide. That is what I would say is a good starting plan. But again dont rush, it is a long term plan, dont do much of anything till next season. start getting those scouting points.

Hope this helped(sorry it was so long) and ask if you have any questions.

Thank you for the advice Thurminator and Ramc.

I read in the help forums that the initial players I recieved were garbage and I should fire/sell them so that's what I did. I am going to start looking for young players to train so that maybe next season my team can have a chance to win.

no problem man, really hope it will give u a good starting point. Just try not to spend too much on trainees for this season as it is basically almost over and they will turn a year older when it is, gotta make use out of your time. good luck
