You will have home court advantage no matter what, unless you have a terrible blowout against an opponent who should be TIEing too, unless he/she is very stupid or very courageous. so play TIE - your chance of finishing the regular season first drop by some tiny amount (only a fraction of a percent), while your chances during the playoff increase. really a no-brainer.
