After a made shot, the clock doesn't start until the ball is touched in bounds. If the shot is in the air before the buzzer it counts.

So the other team could have thrown the ball the length of the court, and the other team caught the pass and shot immediately. If it was a home game for the other team, the one second could probably last 2 or 3 seconds, depending on the scorekeepers "reflexes" ;)

I know the basketball rules pretty well (although this game is played with NBA rules and not FIBA rules I still don't know why) but lets face it, its almost impossible to score a 2 pts shot (not even a 3 pointer) in 1 second. It is more difficult if you bear in mind that the player sucks!

But, hey, its just that. I won the game for 41 points and it was the only time I saw something like this. The only thing is that if this keeps happening it should be taken care of.

Rgds.-

FIBA and NBA are supposedly working to reconcile their rules. Maybe they'll end up with something like soccer where the rules aren't actually FIFA's rules.

You'd have to expect in a game called "Buzzer Beater" that there will always be a last second shot.

This things have happened in real life. The great Larry Bird once scored in 0.35 seconds!

B.T.W. after you made the FT the other team probably took a Timeout (Not sure it's supported or reported in BB) and got the ball from the middle of the court.

Nope, they didn't take a time out.

You can score one if you play the ball closer to the other basket instead of playing it from your own, FI from the opponent's half...

As I said, I won the game by 41 and it's ok but this should be seen because I think that the GE doesn't take into consideration how much time is left in the clock (or at least not enough).

it actually does... when there is that little time left the GE takes a desperation shot with some probability, and makes it with some probability.. its a small one.. but it happens. I think the match viewer should probably do a better job reporting that this is in fact a crazy shot.. like someone turning and baseball heaving it down the court. This kind of thing definitely happens in real life.... i can hear the dah-da-dah dah-da-dah of sportscenter now...

yeah, it happens... those shots kinda tend to be worth 3 points, though
