GM Dale Brown of the Rebels has called on an investigation into the officiating in Saturday nights game against the Everymen. The Rebels were called for 21 fouls while the Everett squad only totaled 9, less than the foul called on the Rebels in the second quarter alone. Brown said the home cooking smelled like payola and wants a full blown look into what happened. Although the Rebels managed to win in OT, they were forced to play an extra quarter with big games coming up this week against the Rad Dads and the Rebels first test in the Cup. Brown lamented that the Rebels wont be able to play their best lineup against the Rads, but nevertheless expects his younger players to rise to the occasion against the upstart league leaders. ~ Hendersonville Times
