First game already starting soon, friendly against great team of Deutschland.
This game will be though, but important to check our player ratings and prepare us for the season.

The group of players playing for our team shouldn't be much diferent from what we have now. But this is still not definitive.
I will make a search for all New Zealand players playing and check if there isn't anybody else to help us win.

Best regards all,
Melo9

Well, I'm spamming the forum a bit eheh...
Just want to say that the practice against the strong Deutschland went much better than I expected!
We were actually wining the whole game, except last minutes...and ended loosing by just 2. I'm really happy so far, but we got some players with 33+ that should decrease for the season...

Hello Hello!

First game already ended, against the stronger Taiwan, with a 111-82 loss for us. Can't say it is a bad result, since there is still a big diference between both teams. We started well wining 23-21 in the 1st quarter but they recovered and started building their win after that.
Our vote for MVP of the game for NZ goes to Dylan Blundell, with an efficient game (9-13) with 20 points and 13 rbs.

Next game is against Iran, where we will focus on understanding our team and best strategies, since wining will be very though. Meanwhile we are also building some nice morale for last games, against our closest opponents.

I already messaged individually all coaches of our NT players, but I will say again, game shapes win games, so please keep an eye on it! ;)

Best regards and see you next week

Wow....What a WIN!

We just beat Iran, 8 on World ranking vs our 70 Incredible right? What if I say, that we used 0 game effort and no GDP also? ahah

Good job to all coaches, game shapes made this possible. This victory was historic, and will be super important for our qualification journey. We still have to win some games against teams of our level, but this was definetly huge for us!

Can't name a player of the game, we played as a true team with multiple great lines...I will say 3 decisive players from 3 diferente positions:
PG Hardy, 9-15fg and 4 3's, that was super efficient for a guard;
SF Benton-Evans, getting 29 points and 4 rbs/assists;
And last Center Dylan again with a great game, 8-12fg 1 three 17rbs and 3 blocks...

Thanks again for your focus on gameshape, that makes the diference here ;)
Best regards

Hey hey!

2 more games have passed, let's talk about them..

First we faced Singapore, a really though team, but as their game shape was low, we knew we had a chance of getting a super important win. And that's what happened! We used more effort, and we won the game. Was a really even game, but the 3rd period made the diference, giving us a nice 15 point lead to the end.
Player of the game? Blundell once again with great stats (6 - 11 fg / 12 - 14FT! and 13rbs)

Today we faced Indonesia, another team stronger than us, and another time with some bad shape. This time we decided not to risk it and we used low enthusiasm to stack to our next 2 games.
As we previewed, they played with normal effort, and we consider it was a wise choice to go easy.
Player of the game was Darren Fisher with 28 points on 11-22fg and 8 rebounds.

Next week is for rest, I am already trying to get a scrimmage so we can practice for the last 2 decisive games.

Hope your game shapes keep up, cause they have been awsome in most cases!

Regards!

Well,
This was a though loss for us today, against a team we had a chance, Lubnan.
On my mind, the history of this game was the big enthusiasm diference between botyh teams, they used Crunch Time and we used Take it Easy. Also we had no enthusiasm after the wins against Iran and Singapore...
Than the injury of Trevor Hardy (our best guard for this game, at good shape) at 2 minutes gameplay was also tought hit for us..
Next game is a must win for us, as we want to go to next phase!

Best regards!

Good Year New Zealand!

Not such a good start for our NT. Unfortunatly we won't advance to the next phase, even with this last win that gives us 3-3 record.
I'm really sad, I think we deserved this alot, but as Singapore and Iran have better point diferencial (despite being 3-3 also) we are out. On Pool A and B teams with 3-3 passed but this was really balanced.

Now we will make scrimmages and prepare for next season. My mission is the same, improve New Zealand rank, this result was disapointing, but I still consider a great result..

Best Regards

Hello everyone,

Sorry for not posting for a while...but since we have just been playing scrimmages, it hasn't been much interesting.

Soon I'll talk about next season objectives, since we still don't know who are we playing against.

Best Regards all, and remember to vote for the U21 NT position!

Hello my friends,

The season as started for us, our 2 first oponents were known a few days ago...and bad news, 2 hard oponents to start of...Nippon and Schweiz!

Surprise surprise...we beat Nippon today! eheh... They had poor game shapes, we had some good ones, and then an injurie to their SF also helped us on that win.

Good start for us, next game will be even harder and probably an ugly loss is incoming, lets wait and see.

Regards all!
