The position listed by BB is based on the players skills. What happened was that he improved in some skill so that his highest salary is now coming from the PG calculation. The position listed is just a suggestion and has no actual importance.

Yeah, that's easy to explain. Your player just has bigger salary as a PG than as a C in spite of the training you gave him.
