The younger the player, the faster he will train.
The higher the potential, the longer he win train,(the better he can become)
The taller the player, the faster he'll train big man skills.
the shorter the player, small man skills
Lower levels look for at least all star potential.
mid levels perennial all stars
upper levels superstar etc.

Gunner, THX!! I know this, but it seems from some of the answers i was getting on here about my main 3 trainees, i was told they all sucked and get rid of them. One is an MVP but i got him last season at 23 and started training him to become a PF, my other main 2 are 18 and 19 and they're salary was way too low to become anything. Thats why i asked is there a small window in some players? And what do i look for if i feel a player is worth training to become one of my studs or simply to sell?

At 23 it no longer matters what the potential is in an undeveloped player
he's no going to reach his highest level, so MVP and all star are about the same
there are only so many pops coming before he slows to a crawl in training
at that point, the 18 and 19 year old with the way to low salary will end up a better player
