Rivalries are really strange this season.....10inch Vertical, Technical Fouls, and Dog River Dogs are rivals of 2 different teams....Arizona Cacti and Beware of Dogs are the rival of one team...and My team, Old Sexy Hippies, Reston are not anyones rivals.

Thanks, Jason, for the welcome. I really can't believe this. It's kind of like waking up after a bad nightmare—and then finding out it was real. Quite frankly, my newly-found enthusiasm just took a big hit:-(

I spoke with Walker Wiggles in BB Mail last night after the league assignments were done, and he said "it seems as if it's a law of the universe for the ii.4 great 8 to be ridiculously strong, it's ridiculous."

I think that pretty much sums it up.

I knew we're getting two new teams to the G8 ... scanned the list and quickly spotted Reston Thumpers ... scanned the list again to find the second team ... scanned a third time before I realized the other team is the Riverdogs. It likes you never left, Pappy. Anyhow, welcome back Pappy but I know you would prefer to be somewhere else ... honestly, me too.

Welcome to all the other new teams as well.

Ok, so we replaced FR and APG with a former league vet and one of the stronger NBBA teams. Sweet, who wants to punt this season? :) Probably would make sense to do it myself as I have the least impressive salary but I like my team and don't want to struggle for another 3-4 seasons to get out of III. Looks like at the very least I might be in my first relegation series, but we'll see.

This is probably how the Rays and Orioles felt after Toronto took every good baseball player within 50 miles of Miami a couple weeks ago.

Hey all! Thank you to everyone for your welcomes.

I'm one of the "other" new teams.

From your comments it seems that I should be happy to not be in the Great 8. :) So yes I'm happy to be here (mostly because I'm finally out of D.III). Hopefully my stay won't be short...
