Great work. I think the days for Radford on the NT were limited anyway. Best C we ever had but no club team other than a farm or Koop wants players like that anymore.

I wonder if his original owner will come out of nowhere to snap him up!

I still remember him putting the fear of god into me with Phoenix 5 back in my early ABBL days.

Original owner already has a younger replacement in the making... Noa Wall (19609215).

Without coming across as being critical because I think u doing a great job, but is it a tactic of urs to pick national team members who r not just awesome players but r also of low 'management,' risk.....that is..u know they will be game shape managed AND the owner isn't going to fob them off after two weeks?
Or do we just not have that luxury here in oz?

Well, the national players are all high calibre players. Only a few with similar skills are not on the team because of gameshape issue: Radford, Chandler, Duffill. If they can return back to top gameshape then they will get game time.

Also, the national team is restricted to a maximum of 18 players on the rosters so you must carefully select the squad base on skills and gameshape. No national team in the world can afford to carry these sort of players. It will limit the number of players able to be selected for the games and kicking players off the squad isn't viable without decreasing enthusiasm. So yeah, even if a player is trained properly but their gameshape is poorly managed then they won't ever make the team.

Gameshape issues are a NT and U21 NT coaches worst nightmares.

That paired with no scouting tool!

How about having to play big men with "average" in one of their three primaries, guards with respectable OD or guys that have no stats in double figures at all.

well i guess thats what i was eluding to.

Does Australia have enough 'good' users, who know how to manage game shape AND enough awesome players going around such that if a player on the NT is not being managed correctly due to the manager, then we have suitable backups?

And is it a risk picking guys who are massive salary players, who are more likely to be shopped around the transfer market every 3rd or 4th week? Is it better off picking and playing statistically poorer players, but who are consistently on one team, being GS managed?

eg: Michael Jordan for 75% of the year, at 75%, or Scottie Pippen, all year, at 100%?
