It really depends on what you want to do with your team. If your plan was to train guards, then I would encourage you to sell him. But if you have no training going on, I think he may be more valuable if you keep him. With some training he can easily dominate in a div. V and help you improve as a team.

Giving him at least 48 mins of action is crucial for full training. You should also get a decent coach (maybe level 4? I don't know how much money you make), but avoid overpaying. And also, find one or more other trainees to train alongside him. You may train your frontline, and then sell one of the trainees to improve other positions

Yea I have a level 4 trainer. Would it be possible to get that inside d from inept(4) to say prominent (10) by the end of a season with a level 4 trainer...or am i being unrealistic. This is my first trainee...so I don't really have experience with training an 18 year old. I do want to get his defense and rebounding high...defense is my first priority. I already got a nice PF who can score who has some 12's, 11's and 10's in key area's. I just want atleast for now a defensive force in the paint :) then fill out the Inside scoring later on. Thanks for the help. I'm new and still learning, but I'm enjoying myself so far.

It is possible to get his ID from 4 to 10 in a season, but you will have to single position train each week.
