I think the response to your concern has been a little confused.
in some sense of the word, illegal lineups are not allowed now.. they result in a forfeited game. This violation is detected after that game is played, and so we do generate a bad boxscore, but it doesn't have any affect on anything, other than minutes played.
No problem with the bad boxscore. Just that it seems too easy to submit an illegal lineup. I guess what I'm trying to suggest is that something is tweaked so that entering an illegal lineup is made much more difficult.
Whether that means you have to have a minimum number of players (10 for example) or else you forfeit, so be it. I think that somehow, someway, each owner should be forced to submit a valid lineup. If he fouls out 6 guys, then he forfeits, for example. Teams that "throw in the towel", automatically forfeit each game until they are turned into a bot. At least everyone in the series knows that ahead of time (or shortly after it happens once).
I'm really not concerned at all with how you allocate the minutes to the non-forfeiting team, just that I think there should be less forfeits and additional contingencies should be put in place to reduce them in the future.
I would also like to say, as others have before, that it is very refreshing that the BB's wade out into the forum pool (sometimes in crap up to their eyeballs) and deal with idiots like me and address even the most inane comments.
So, thank you.
