Both teams get the same amount of cash for the game being on TV, the home team also gets their arena income for the game - so no, you don't miss out.

Ah ok. Is that something that they've changed from last season? Cos all my TV games were home games last season.

Ofcourse. Both teams get the same amount. Only the hometeam gets their revenue on top of that ofcourse.

Since you just started a few weeks ago, something to watch out for is that the TV games pay a lot more money than you get from ticket sales. Last season, I would lose a little bit each week, and then recover it all with the TV money.

Speaking of which (again), we should be able to go into debt to bid on players....

This was brought up before, and the BB answer was (and which I agree with) is that no matter what, there's going to be a concrete line of how much money you can spend, and there's no real point to make that line more than what you have to begin with.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Then why have a cut off line at $500k??

If this is a basketball / economic simulator we should be able to decide if we go into debt (and pay the prevailing interest on the debt) or just have the line set at 0... you go into minus we terminate your position as manager.

Regarding transfers.. with the new fees it would make more sense to buy a player that takes you into the minus then list... otherwise you have to list... then if you dont get the player you wanted to bid for you have to buy back your own and pay the fees (lets not get started on listing within the playoff period and then if player doesnt sell he also becomes ineligible!!) ha that is the one rule that made me chuckle out loud when someone reported it...
