Well, I figure I can stick it out until you all either promote or quit and my stadium has like 50,000 seats. Then I'll be able to win out, and finally promote.

This is bullshit.... Start a guy at SG and list him as backup and reserve SG and he plays 11 minutes. No injury, didn't foul out. And yes it was listed as strictly follow depth chart. Still got the win and possibly wouldn't have if he stayed in but I'm trying to train people and it legit will not allow me to do so.

Hey man,

Sorry because that sounds frustrating. I think that no matter the type you choose, the coach still has a little say, and it may have been influenced by having two other SG's.

What I learned to do to help with that is take people off the lineup for a certain game. When you're setting your tactics, you could remove the other SG's on the roster from that particular game (esp. if they've already got their minutes). Then the coach is less likely to try and sub a different position player in for the SG you're trying to train.

Hope that makes sense,

Sean

It does. And I usually only have 7-8 guys per game anyway. Just hard to make sure everybody gets some time to keep game shape

Reading this I thought there must be an explanation, he should've gotten at least 40 mins if he had no injury or fouls. I looked at the game in question and Kirk Neely got flagrant fouled on a shot at the end of the quarter and sat out the rest of the game with an in-game injury. It wasn't the coach's fault. Hope you feel better now.

Those in-game injuries don't show up in the box score or afterwards. Kind of tricky but it happens. There is still an <48 min training effect, though, so best of luck getting those pops.

yep it's really either you "tank" aka not really try to promote but slowly build a team that can compete through training... but not having a high salary roster so you make a ton of cash, train, and you can buy when your trainees are ready to compete or you can sell them ;p

Although in d4 I did train and compete at the same time, you just gotta know how to do it.

and if you're pushing to promote, try to make a team that will be at least slightly competitive in the next division too (unless you have enough cash to buy after you promote) so you just dont immediately relegate.

aye, love you guys ;p I miss USA's competitiveness.

Right now I want to try to qualify for buzzerbeater's best (though i probably wont even win a game in the group stages).
If it doesnt happen this season (which is tough, i'm still practically the 4th best team here, but I've beaten the 2nd and 3rd best with my tactics before) i'll just be saving up if it doesnt happen.

I like to check in here to see how you all are doing ;p I love how the forum got active now.

im sure tartans still thinks i copied his plan although I didnt lol.
