Trainer level 4 are acknowledged as being the best cost efficient of all.
I would definitely take this advice. The crowd sourcing training data indicates the difference between advanced and superior does not justify the cost unless you are a very serious trainer.

No, a superior trainer is a level 5, advanced is level 4. Hover over them if you don't know.

1=minimal. Only available by firing someone.
2=basic
3=competent
4=advanced
5=superior
6=exceptional
7=world-renowned

Try basic (massage) doctor 3500-4500 salary
Advance trainer (fitness) 10500-12500 salary
Basic (no specialty) 3000-4500 salary

(Ideal for Division 4 and 3)

Exceptional Doctor in division 4 is not needed - people who buy exceptional doctors are high ranked teams who try to minimize the effects of injury. My doctor varies from competent to advance and I am in Division 1.

Looking at your roster you are gutting your whole team with the exception of (1) trainee, keep your superior trainer for now and when his salary reaches 45k (which will be quite soon) try downgrading him to advance. 2-3 skill pop difference for the whole season. If you are single position training you need another trainee to justify your trainer.

PR Managers dont do much for division 4/3. The gain is not worth the salary. Even if you have a massive arena (which you dont) - I checked.

Bleachers : 5360 (Current Price: $7) (Price as of 5/31/2014: $7)
Lower Tier : 540 (Current Price: $40) (Price as of 5/31/2014: $40)
Courtside Seats : 128 (Current Price: $111) (Price as of 5/31/2014: $111)
Luxury Boxes : 9 (Current Price: $700) (Price as of 5/31/2014: $700)
Total Capacity : 6037

You are correct in saying that utopia prices are affecting staff pricing, if you spent a fortune for your trainer then keep him as long as you can afford to. When I was in division 3, I also experimented in buying an exceptional PR manager because I had a massive arena. It was not worth it. Wasted good BB money. Moving forward, money could be better spent in acquiring players to promote to division 3 and expanding your arena. Wish you the best, I am sure a lot of BB Managers made the same mistake when they started out.
