Haha sorry, I had a little tantrum and posted it on the forum to vent.

I dunno it just seems like...there's way too much emphasis on the whole "Take it Easy" tactic and game readiness/enthusiasm (which I think is stupid to begin with...I mean, since when is taking it easy in a game of basketball ever a tactic? And how come you can take it easy and then that makes you MORE motivated for next game?? Shouldn't it go by momentum? Hot streaks/cold streaks etc??).

But anyways, I'm admitting I don't understand why I lose to teams who play their players considerably less money. I scout other teams, I think I know what to look for in players, and I'm always patient in my purchases, careful with game tactics, I fill roles and holes with vet guys who can defend the shit out of it and what not...but just get dismantled by teams who don't seem to have many good players and they usually do so to me on "take it easy" even if I decide to go "crunch time" or "normal". Like, I guess I'm asking, is the whole take it easy thing to raise enthusiasm really one of the most crucial things in the game? More important than talent? I just feel a bit naive and out of my depth haha.

'Take it easy' and enthusiasm is good at varying results, lower teams can beat higher teams. Hot/Cold streaks would just end up with the good teams hot and the bad teams cold all the time, in my opinion. Enthusiasm and game shape do have an influence, but skill is ultimately the most important.

My team might not look that good, but it aint too bad for a cheapskate squad ;)

I get your frustration, but we all play under the same rules, and if you happened to manage enthusiasm (i.e. played TIE most of the time), your players with a higher skill set would have beaten teams with a lower skill set.

And 'take it easy' is probably a terrible name of it. Maybe we could think of it as the amount of stress the team takes into a game, and playing a 'calm' game puts you in a better mindset for the next game.

Yeah, fair enough - just trying to understand the game more.

And yes, I'm sure your team is deceptively awesome haha, it has to be! Although Wang tried to make it as close as possible towards the end! Cut it to 1 with 2 minutes to go got me a little excited...my top PG being injured didnt help, his back up was 2/17 :( Either way, thanks for the response and good luck in the GF

Final question - do the two top go up to the next league or just the winner of the final?
Ta

Just the winner mate...If you have any questions feel free to hit me up, I've played this game for a while.
Your teams going well, just need some patience. Injuries do hurt alot in finals.
Dont know about awesome, but they go ok lol
I doubt luck will help me in the GF :P

Haha, will do, thanks for the help, haha, if you lose at least none of us have to deal with Timequake again next season, so we'll all be grateful for that.
