he told me to do OD, ID, and one on one, i just thought i really had something here, its my first season playing and i cant afford a U21, just figured after i built him i could sell him, but if it makes him a worse value i probably wont do it, which i guess is all the same since i probably could barely meet the minimum requirements set anyways

This guy could be a key centerpiece for your team and still be salary efficient and cheap. SFs are the cheapest position in the game and my opinion on how to train him to start off will help you out and keep him cheaper. He is a bit behind some of the other guys, but there is still no harm in training him. Obviously it is ultimately up to you and what you want to do, but I think he is a great player to train up.

im new all my money is tied up in the arena, i sort of got lucky (or unlucky) and landed in division 4 so im just trying to make do with what i got, i started during last years playoffs and did reasonably well in the draft i think, but my main goal is my arena and that one trainee so i can sell him in a couple of seasons for a big profit

He is nice ,but he will become very expensive ,if you keep training his inside skills.
Do you want to reach U21 with this player if thats not important.
I would train passing push it up to 8,and then driving on the forward spot to atleast 8.
After that train SB ,for a long time, this way his salary will not go up that fast, and you will get a mutiskilled BIG....

Start training him in OD PA and 1on1. Keep at it until he reaches 10 OD, 8-10 PA and around the same level of DR.
Then you should make a decision about if you really want to bring SB up anything or focus on his other skills. I have high SB guys and for it to work it needs to be rather high(it helps towards ID-rating at all levels but not very much).

I find that GM-Manon has typed pretty much literally what I would have suggested.
