I went back and forth about 100 times before tonights game debating whether to TIE or CT.
With the allstar break coming up, I didn't know how much of my Enthusiasm would hold but I also wasn't sure if a CT on the road would even get me where I needed to win.
having only lost by 10 and being tied after 3 quarters, I maybe missed out on an opportunity to take a shot at one of the big guns in this game.

Day 13 was a day for Great 8ears that only news was bad news. They were swept by Big 8 just before the all star break.
Maybe the most exciting game of the day was at Indianapolis between Hawks and Illusion. Teams had an "offense first" approach for the game and as a result team with the better percentage won. 111-105. However Illusion outrebounded Hawks and created so many second chance points. Their comeback on the 4th quarter could have resulted with a great victory but Hawks managed to protect the lead. J. Barr of Illusion didn't hide his feelings about all star snub before the game and made his case with 38 pts, 3 rbds and 3 asts.
Upset after upset from Magic! They are playing like a title contender right now and if you want proof check this out. Magic 109- Gavno 73. They might have CT'd and Gavno might have TIE'd but still a great effort. Gavno was close to one of the biggest upsets of US Tourney on Thursday but this is going to be a week that they will want to forget as quickly as possible.
In a week where Gavno and Illusion lost, Goats missed the opportunity to win and reduce the gap to 1 game with the top 2 teams. It was a game that FT's made the difference. Flyers missed 4 out of 34, but Goats missed half of 36 attempts. Flyers are in 3 game winning streak which they played decent defense. They are just 1 game behind the playoff spot.
Every Booshers' game is a blow out in those days. This time the victim was Investors: 130-74. Booshers currently have the highest point differential in Div III.4.
Another close game of the day was between Tachenko and Steppers. There were a ton of ups and downs for both teams throughout the game and increased defensive intensity on the last quarter brought Tachenko the win: 93-83.
After the 5OT loss on Tuesday, Cleveland just couldn't afford another loss. Bangers did a good job in the defensive end but struggled offensively: 88-73.
Rip City was in a 3 game losing streak and coach was highly critical of his teams' performance. The players responded to the critics and ended the losing streak against Dragons. 71-62. "We are a defensive team and this is how we win games" said Rip City guard Kasim Jayousi who made a double double. Exactly, this is how they won this game too.
Cresleys enjoyed their 2nd win of the season against Knicks. 98-83. Knicks showed signs of development after acquiring two new players on Wednesday. If Cresleys were on Great 8 side, they would grab a better spot but they still stand on the 8th seed and hoping to win some more games after the allstar break.
Player of the day was George Braden of the Booshers. 21 pts, 8 asts, 7 rbds, 2 stls. Yeah, these are Jason Kidd numbers.
All star game is just around the corner and no league games till next Saturday. Game to watch on Saturday is Tachenko @ Illusion. Tachenko has a cup game on Tuesday and unlike other teams they won't have a GS problem which makes them a tougher opponent.

Braden getting some love.Yeah baby! Stuff like this will make his salary next season easier to swallow. If I don't win the league, my savings account is going to dwindle worse than my respect for the Pro Bowl.

What a mis-match. The Booshes absolutely crushed me! I had no hopes of winning but did not think it would get that out of hand. Thank goodness for the allstar break. Great Half a Season!

We are back to action after the all-star break and looks like some didn't enjoy their first games as they enjoyed Caribbean beaches during the all star break.
Hawks suffered their first loss of the season against Bangers. 104-91. Hawks were outcoached and players looked exhausted on the 4th quarter. This shouldn't be viewed as a big surprise since Bangers were on the top of Great 8 last season.
Another upset was at Chicago. Cresleys beat Goats. 88-96. Despite a late comeback on the 4th quarter, Goats' losing streak increased to 4. Expect to hear some decisions from Goats management later this week.
Booshers eying the top seed and continue their winning streak. Dragons' terrible 2nd quarter effort spoiled an otherwise decent performance. 81-104. All Dragons can do is hoping someone helps their superstar Bumbul.
After some disappointing losses, Gavno didn't want to risk anything @ Flyers, put more than their opponent and won by 15: 82-67. All of their starters reached double figures.
Tachenko @ Illusion was the highly anticipated and TV'd game of the night but Tachenko decided not to go hard and gave up early: 106-90. Does that mean they are fine with the 4th place and keep their energy for the playoffs? First seed at Great 8 is a matter of point difference and will be fun to watch those 2 great teams fighting for the title.
3rd seed on Big 8 continues to switch between Cleveland and Tachenko. This time it was Cleveland's turn. Win against Knicks was tougher than what the final score tells us, it was a close game till the final minutes: 89-103.
Magic are arguably the hottest team right now. Investors were up by 7 at the half but like most other games, result was decided at the 4th quarter: 102-111. Magic's big three-Ryan, Ketikidis, Holloway- produced a combined total of 89 pts, 21 asts, 34 boards and 5 blocks.
Steppers made a nice start after the all star break. Rip City raised the flag on the first half. 86-77. Steppers are among the 4 teams that have a shot on 3rd and 4th playoff spots.
Player of the day was Markos Ketikidis of Marietta Magic with an all around performance of 36 pts, 8 rbds, 6 asts, 3 blks with no TO.
Among the Tuesday's games Goats @ Cleveland (3rd vs 3rd) and Bangers @ Tachenko (4th vs 4th) are the most important ones for the playoff race in both sides of the Division.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.
I tried to transfer Lorenzo Capps but no one wanted him. So I decided to keep him and he gave me what I expected. A crap performance. I mean, I just tried to get rid of the guy so I can't expect much more than that.
However, Lowell Webber has played horrendous this season and alot of that could be attributed to running a Man defense as compared to our normal 3-2 or 2-3 depending on the opponent.
I'm at a crossroads right now. I want to blow my team up but doing so creates the risk for relegation something I do not really want to do.
Cantrell and Partridge are safe. Webber and Capps are looking to be transferred although Capps is the leading candidate.
I did decide to TIE the Cresleys looking more to build up my enthusiasm for and manage the team's Game Shape for tougher games coming up. I never expected to win, especially considering that with all of the analysis I've managed to do, Donghao, Diehl, and others ... they have some fantastic players but are just playing in a tough as nails conference.

I think the problem is both of your SF have a high physical factor. Hence they both pick up too many fouls. I would just keep trying to sell one of them. I posted Leon twice before he sold so....
I think blowing up your team this late in the season would be a bad idea. Hold out for the year and make some moves in the off season and early next year.

Even if you blow up your team and not win more game-which won't happen- you are going to get the homecourt in relegation series in the worst case scenario. You have nice pieces which will win some games here and there no matter what, so I don't beleive you should worry about relegation. But you are the one who knows this team best and it's up to you to choose the way to go.

That's very true about the fouls. They are constantly picking up fouls. Lorenzo Capps has played a RNG SG most of his career as a Goat and I started playing him as a SF this season even though BB has listed him as a SF since I joined. Lowell Webber is a 6'11" SF that if I could figure out how to train his OD and ID, then he'd be a beast. He shoots poorly majority of the time and his inside scoring is average at best. I really want this team to focus around the PG/SF/C relationship with the SG and PF being complimentary parts.
Moving Capps to SF and bumping Webber down was an attempt to make my bench stronger. I'm going to have to continue attempting to move Capps because of his age and hope I can find a buyer.
I've got a lot of decisions to make during this latter part of the schedule and heading into the off-season.
