You jerk! You put me right to the bottom of the league standings.

LOL just the first game of the season. Your team has a surprisingly good defensive ratings (given that you were on the road).

Decided to create a simple power rankings for the league. I may tinker with how I weight different aspects of the team throughout the season, but in general, I'm looking at 3 factors: Skill ratings in games (Offense and Defense), Player salaries (top 8 players, with more weight to top 5), and win/loss record. I also included some notes about what stuck out for each team.

Other interesting notes:

In each category I set the best team's score as 100% and all other teams as a percentage of that score. So at least one team got a perfect score in each metric.

6 teams received the exact same offense grade of 84% (a 6 way tie for 10th place)

The offenses in the league were surprisingly evenly matched. The lowest rating of any team was 82%. By comparison, the lowest defense rating was 59% and 2 other teams scored below 70%

Every team that won their first game is in top 8. I promise, W/L record is only 10% of the score!

Additionally, every team that got a top 8 ranking (and in turn, every team that won game 1) had a top 8 defense.

Obviously take rankings from just 1 game with a grain of salt; I'll try to update the ranking a few times throughout the season.

Nice. I want more stat or ranking. It make staying at bottom more fun at least.

Wow, this was fun to read. Thank you for putting effort into this. Ngl, I liked seeing my team at the top. We'll have a better picture this week since I'm playing the number "2" ranked team.
This is my ranking for the top teams atm:

1. Lahser
2. BallaChamps
3. Tall Bodies
4. Sloths
5. Cardinals

These teams who I thought are the strongest 4 right now but I might be wrong of course since Champs lost a game they shouldn't.

Your tiny 10-man roster will probably hurt you as the season progresses, since your guys will get too many minutes and drop in GS. I think you should highly consider looking at adding at least 3 more guys.

I don't play my main guys in cups, so GS is not an issue. They get the ideal minutes per week and I wouldn't exactly call this a tiny roster. You are tiny!

You do you, my guy. Just trying to help you out. With a 10 man roster, your playoff rotation guys are always going to get either too many minutes or not enough.

Even if your starters get a perfect 60-65 minutes in the two league games, that means your backups are sitting at 30-36 minute range entering a scrimmage/cup game. That means they’re either staying at that amount a dropping in GS because they didn’t get enough minutes or you’re playing them in the scrimmage/cup game and they’re getting up to 78-84+ minutes.

It simply isn’t sustainable.

Did you bet money on me or what, lol. You sound like you need me to win the playoffs.

You’re in the Big 8, so I want to see you wipe the floor with my conference. Can’t do that if your dudes are getting tired 1/3 through the season.
