"Historic Night for Troutman leads Delpra past Einheit Demmin"

By halftime, shooting guard Clyde Troutman had already filled up the box score with 30 points. Everyone in the arena knew that it was going to be a special night. Troutman had the hot hand throughout the close contest, shooting a ridiculous 66% from the field. By the time the final buzzer sounded, Clyde had racked up 55 points and the admiration of the Einheit home crowd. What is more impressive is his highly efficient shooting against a very good team in Einheit Demmin, who now fall to 6-3. Veteran Timothy Fuller, two-time MVP and captain of Delpra, spoke highly of his colleague's performance after the game.

"It was just one of those nights. He has been the go-to scorer for us throughout the entire season, so I am very happy for him. This will definitely help boost his confidence, and that will only help our team. When his shots are falling, I don't think there is a team in this league that can stop us."

Fuller also posted his usual efficient numbers with a 17 point 5 assist 6 rebound night. But the star of the show was Troutman, who posted a career high in points. Delpra face the Springfield Storm next at home.

Looking Deeper Into the Mysterious Team That is Springfield Storm

At first glance, the Springfield Storm's season looks average at best. They sit 5th place in the conference (8th place in the league) with a 5-5 record. But, if you look deep into the numbers, only one could help but see that this season could be considered a success. On the offensive side of the ball, the Storm rank in the top 5 in assists and offensive rebounds. But on the defensive side of the ball is where the Storm really start to stand out. They rank in the top 5 in points/assists allowed per game, rebounds, steals, and turnovers produced. So, here we look at an "average" 5-5 squad, but when you look deeper, they have a potent offense and a stingy defense. And all of this success in just the second season of their rebuild. Springfield has also employed a rotation to maximize development and training from Denis Radzevich and Jordi Zurita all season, even though that meant playing them at the Point and Shooting guard positions although Radzevich's future is at Small Forward and Zurita's is down low. And let us not also forget that the team's captain and best player (Ian Kosta) has only suited up for half of the team's games due to injury. The Storm remain a mystery, but one thing's for certain, when we get to finally see Radzevich (SF), Kosta (PF), and Zurita (C) play together at their natural positions, this team is gonna be fun to watch.

Great piece. The Storm are definitely doing well considering the huge makeover.
Only 7 people on the roster after selling 4 players this past week.
Biggest disappointment was probably Xhelili, who was supposed to start producing immediately.
Perhaps he just was not a good fit for the offensive system. Regardless, the Storm are probably sitting on a good heap of cash now.

Springfield Storm acquire star center Marek Kutrzeba in a deal reportedly worth upwards of $650,000.
The 26 year old center/forward also adds around $60,000 in salary to the Storm's payroll. The move looks to be part of an effort to clog up the paint and shore up the inside game for the Storm (5-6).

Sad. When I talked to him before his plan to was bank 10m and then fund a consecutive promotion push up to D.II. At the time he had millions in the bank already. Sad to see a active guy go bot, especially with all that money...

Woah. Believe it or not, I did the same thing with my old team back in the old buzzerbeater days. Anyway, now that he's out, I'm going for that #4 seed!

Big 3 Debut Doesn't Disappoint in Lopsided Victory

The highly hyped acquisition of Marek Kutrzeba couldn't have put on a better show than he did on Tuesday night against the Raleigh Roughriders, when he put up 15 points/12 rebounds/3 assists/3 blocks in just 25 minutes of play. He also played some stifling defense, giving up just 3 points to the opposing center. But the bigger story was how Kutrzeba played alongside Ian Kosta and Denis Radzevich. The trio combined for 44 points, 26 rebounds, 13 assists, 4 steals, and 7 blocks. The star of the night was 22 year old phenom Denis Radzevich as he totaled 18 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds in 40 minutes of play. The Big 3 shot over 58% from the field. The performances led to a 102-58 rout of the #3 seeded Roughriders, despite starting out the game playing against an offense that the team hadn't game planned for. Luckily for the Storm, adjustments were made at halftime which resulted in the Storm outscoing the opposition 62-27 in the second half and victory, pushing the team closer to the Big 8's #4 seed.
