So all of CC, puffy and Roswell can be in relegation.

CC needs to win at least 1 game (plays puffy and me)

Puffy needs to win plays ( CC and Roswell)

Roswell needs to win 2 (plays puffy and me) and lets just say he should beat me.

So 1 or even 2 of these teams could be in relegation shall be interesting finish to season

suddenly tightened up a lot at the bottom i thought some of those teams were tanking but suddenly the big guns r coming out

it suddenly smells like im going down

plz be clear i hate the system not the player

great game but there r a couple of things that totally suck

#1 in my mind is rentals 4 the playoffs/relegation series

totally unrealistic bs u never see a real team suddenly add the 2 best players in the league a week before the finals - there should be a minimum number of league games played 2 be eligible just like in real life

its what happened 2 me last season in the abbl

1 day before the big game koop rented 2 guys 2 beat me & did

i could have hired rentals 2 beat tremell but i wont play that way so got beaten by him in relegation

rentals got me relegated from the abbl

now having a 19-1 season & looking good & what happens?

1 week from playoffs HAX the 1 team that was already scary & my 1 defeat 4 the season rents 2 x 200k players

ive got money, i could do the same, i was faced with this moral dilema last season 2 but it just aint how i roll ive never tanked ive never rented call me stupid i guess

im screwed:P

HAX u r a great manager & this is the perfect move

when i saw iwen had been smoking crack & paid $1.6 million for some random foreign trainee i was worried

& now u have pulled the trigger

the timing is perfect u will charge into the playoffs with momentum & an awesome abbl ++ team

hopefully it will be u v me in the finals 2 old 3/6 rivals battling it out again the way it should be

if it wasnt me promoting this season i always hoped it would be u

i do have a lot of faith in my team & should have homecourt so i still think i have a chance (maybe im the 1 smoking crack now lol)

but it is certainly exciting & im looking forward 2 the mega battles

I love the playoff buys, I find it keeps the playoffs exciting, it is certainly not meant to be realistic.

AND Lets see how Hax does against my home court in the playoffs before talking finals! Im pretty sure I have him covered, even with the big buys, but fishy will prolly wipe the floor with me.

I thought about it quite a lot, actually. I've been complaining about these things in the game for a while, yet I am going to take advantage of the unrealistic nature of it.

Your homecourt might still get you home, who knows... You do have a strong team at a low price. VM has set his team up really well, too. If I lose, I'll be in deep doggy dooh, that's for sure.

Tonight's game will be interesting. Can't wait to see it.

I'm relatively new to this game, up to season 5 i think, so am still trying to build a team for my first tilt at going up to the ABBL hopefully one season, but honestly I can't see any other way than to take advantage of the late season buys to get enough firepower to win up.

With the revenue you get in Div 2, you just can't run a full blown team the whole season without some serious cash reserves, which I definately don't have. And there is no way I can compete with a $700K a week team in the playoffs.

It would be nice if the game play recognised these late season purchases as such, and therefore effected the chemistry of the team play with the new players, reducing their effectiveness - maybe it does I don't know?

I agree, its pretty disheartening when you have built a great team over time, and then you get done by someone who just buys a team of 34 year olds on the cheap at the last minute. But I guess thats the beauty of the game, that there are many different strategies to achieve the same goal.

The more I play it, and watch strategies, the more I realise this game is more a money management game, more than just about basketball.
