Good game BC. I am being out managed and out strategised early this season. BC selling players so of course he is going to try to get the most wins with them before they leave and it was a Rival game, but did I do anything to try and counter that? Nope, like my friend the ostrich just stick my head in the sand. Wrong enthusiasm, wrong defense set, and he predicted our offense. I am glad there is no call in radio show for this league for fans to roast me. Oh well, I tell myself this is A long season:)

📅 Week 3 Recap
Another wild week of League II.4 action: some contenders steadied the ship, while others are still trying to find the floor.

🏀 Game of the Week
Bench Mob 87, The Reductions 86

This matchup had all the makings of a statement win for The Reductions, but chaos flipped the script. Momentum swung when star guard Martin Mazl was cooking like Harden on fast-boil, and the Mob sent Papitzakis to brutally assault the PG, sending shockwaves through the arena—and perhaps the league. Everything tightened, and Naujokaitis finished off the Reductions from the stripe leaving the league stunned. League officials have yet to comment on disciplinary action, but whispers are growing.

🔥 Statement Win
FR-S 127, BC Lituanica 105

Let’s not sugarcoat it—FR-S looked like they had rockets in their shoes. Pushing the pace from tip to buzzer, they overwhelmed LTU with 38 assists on 53 made shots. Five players scored in double figures, with D. Kasilovskis and R. Zviedris combining for 42 and 12. C. Mullins quietly dominated the paint with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while F. Rocher dished 10 dimes. Even Pessach’s 23-6-6 couldn’t stop the freight train. If this is the new baseline for FR-S, they’re not just dangerous—they’re terrifying.

📉 Off to a Shaky Start
Wobbles 83, Meridian Hill McMornings 88

Wobbles, a preseason contender, now finds themselves staring at an 0–3 “upside down” hole. While not flashy, Meridian’s won because of their execution Wobbles in the half court, with balanced team scoring and suffocating defense. S. Samara was again efficient, and Meridian got to the stripe 31 times to Wobbles’ 18. It’s time to start asking questions about Wobbles’ cohesion.

🚨 Keep an Eye On…
Wellington Warthogs 87, Llama of Wall Street 81

Wellington keeps winning quietly—and efficiently. R. Wong exploded for 30 and 17, while T. Bunn added 23. Their aggressive man-to-man defense kept Llama’s guards off rhythm and forced the offense into tough mid-range looks. In some ways, Llama was stronger, but the Warthogs executed better down the stretch and stole this one on the road. Don’t look now, but they’re 3-0.

💥 Bounce-Back Blows
Tasty Tardsicles 103, Innovatus 90

Tasty is back in rhythm. Their offense found flow with five players scoring in double digits. Jimenez led the way with 17 points and 4 steals, while the bench added 33 pts to keep Innovatus at bay. For Innovatus, C. Zigui’s 30-point effort was wasted where their defense simply couldn’t get stops when it mattered.

California Supreme 116, Ferth Ozone 90
California came out swinging behind sharp ball movement and a 12-point 4th-quarter run that put this one away. With six players in double figures, they shot a blazing 54% from the field. Ferth’s sloppy offense (17 turnovers) sealed their fate.

Kiwi Sheep Pimps 93, Delta 9 77
Kiwi Sheep’s discipline was the difference as they easily held off Delta 9. C. Guaraes pulled down 16 REB, and the team held Delta to 77 pts. Karlis Rae “Jepson” may not be on the trade block anymore—but he’s clearly not calling around for another roster spot.

📉 Just a Footnote
Wasco Tigers 144, The White Walkers 31

Nothing to see here. Wasco’s entire starting five got cardio in and maybe a free smoothie.

📊 Stat Sheet Nuggets
Top Scorer: C. Zigui (Innovatus), R. Wong (Wellington) – 30 pts
Top Rebounder: B. Râsnoveanu (The Reductions) – 25 boards
Top Assists: J. Baratović (LTU) – 15 dimes
Top Efficiency: M. Davis (Wasco) – 46 rating
MVP: M. Davis (Wasco): 29 pts, 13 ast
Top Blocker: D. Kester (Delta 9), L. Khadyka (Wasco) – 4 blocks
Ironman: B. Râsnoveanu – 53 minutes

Tune in. Trash talk. Set your GDPs. This season’s just getting started.

Appreciate the kind words, man - good game to you too. Honestly, I was out of the country all last week on vacation with no access to my laptop, so setting tactics was a mess. Pretty sure that cost me the game vs FR-S on Saturday.

I’m back now though, so hoping to settle back in and catch up. Still a long season ahead, like you said - plenty of time for things to swing back and forth. Looking forward to the next matchup!

Brother, this is my first time in D2 and man… BB needs to hire you or something. These recaps are straight fire. It makes the whole game feel way more immersive every league needs something like this. It honestly makes me enjoy the game even more. Keep doing this for as long as you can. You’re goated, for real.

Nice write-up as always...

This Week 4 game I thought I was dead in the water, surprised we could come back and win. Maybe my team is a little better than I thought...

Thanks for the kind words - I’ll get to work on this weeks work…soon (probably tomorrow morning).

I’ve been pretty busy traveling and trying to get some down time and it totally slipped my mind until just now. Looking forward to pushing this one out, though.

Week 4 Recap – Season 69
Tuesday, July 22, 2025

A week of grind-it-out finishes, massive rebounding gaps, and teams beginning to settle into their lanes—whether that means playoff chase, middle-of-the-pack tension, or prepping for the draft lottery. Let’s break it all down.

🏆 Game of the Night
FR-S 102, Meridian Hill McMornings 101
Meridian nearly pulled off the comeback of the week. G. Nash was electric, dropping 27 points and 10 assists, and nearly dragging McMornings across the finish line with a furious late push. FR-S held their nerve behind balanced scoring, with Jun Beng’s steady hand and Mullins dominating inside (15 rebounds, 3 blocks). A nail-biter that showed both teams might be sleepers come playoff time.

🔨 Rebounding Beatdown
Ferth Ozone 103, Kiwi Sheep Pimps 101
The numbers don’t lie: 69–35 on the boards. Kiwi kept it close thanks to stellar guard play and timely shotmaking, but Ferth’s dominance in the paint decided this one. Faltýnek and Kochanski both pulled in 22 rebounds, suffocating second-chance opportunities. The decisive stretch came late, capped by Hess Araya soaring for a putback that the broadcast hilariously called, “high above the rim and drops it in. Shot missed.” Ferth improves to 3–1 and looks built for tight games.

📈 Quietly Climbing
Bench Mob 102, BC Lituanica 84
Lituanica was flat from the jump. Pessach and Baratović were efficient but could not get the rest of the team flowing. Meanwhile, the Mob looked in control throughout on the boards and passing behind a 4 players with double-doubles. Bench Mob now sits at 3–1, winning with structure, tempo control, and low flash.

🚫 No Entry
Innovatus 118, The Reductions 93
Nothing fancy—just a clinic. Innovatus picked apart The Reductions with smart ball movement and efficient finishing. Babenko and Ikoma both looked in rhythm, and the defense kept Reductions’ backcourt quiet. Râsnoveanu pulled down 14 boards, but Reductions were -9 in turnovers and -20 in points off them. They’ll need more cohesion moving forward.

💥 Wobbles Wake Up
Wobbles 103, Tasty Tardsicles 85
Two wins in a row, and Wobbles may finally be shaking off the rust. Doerr paced the offense, while the frontcourt locked down the paint. Tardsicles looked disjointed after halftime, scoring just 12 in the third quarter. If Wobbles has truly found its groove, they remain a dangerous out.

📉 Missed Opportunity
Llama of Wall Street 85, Delta 9 94
Another week, another rebounding avalanche. Delta 9 tallied 81 rebounds, with 29 of them on the offensive end. Camacho, Kochanski, and Bruner were everywhere, swallowing up boards and triggering easy second-chance points. Llama played hard but couldn’t hang physically. Delta is clearly leaning into a bruising identity—and it’s working.

🎯 Clean Execution
Wasco Tigers 92, Wellington Warthogs 78
No fireworks, no drama—just a clinical performance. Sorensen’s 19 led a balanced attack as Wasco controlled the pace and forced 11 turnovers on 8 steals and 6 blocks. The Warthogs hung around early but lacked finishing power inside, getting outscored 48–34 in the paint.

🚪And Now for the Weekly Door Prize…
California Supreme 152, The White Walkers 42
What do you get when one team is trying and the other is already on vacation? This. The Walkers remain locked in for a smooth relegation glide.

📊 Stat Sheet Nuggets
Top Scorer: E. Vogt (California Supreme) – 32 pts
Top Rebounders: Faltýnek, Kochanski, Camacho – 22 boards
Top Assists: P. Pina (California Supreme) – 16
Triple-Double: A. Villar (California Supreme) – 17 pts / 21 reb / 10 ast
Top Blocker: M. Bruner (Delta 9) – 4 blocks

Week 5 is on deck—and things are tightening across the board.
