Wow touchy. Meant no offense but if you really wanted to take it that badly, I apologize then. I never meant to belittle you, but you can't deny the facts that in your division and earning power, you won't see more than half the league with starting lineups that cost 300k to 500k, which is what we are seeing.

So he posted 44 points against my 3k salary rookie who is 6k this season? Then he makes the allstar despite other people posting big numbers as well, and performing on a more consistent basis.

He's not even on the league leaders board, mind you. Which further shows the flaws of the ASG selection and makes it even more logical NOT to give any tangible rewards in the ASG. Hitting a random 40 point game against a newly drafted rookie and making the ASG over players who have consistently performed well then your team gets a reward. Not the best way to go IMO.

Lets not pretend like you werent taking a low key shot while you were tryin to make your point here. Ok? Starting off with "Wow touchy" only goes to show your full of it and that your apology was only because this is on a public forum where other people see all of this.

Of course in my division it wont be the same but i do pay attention to higher leagues as well. Also your Country isnt a good example of the problem at hand because more than half of your countrys total active users are always going to be in your highest league regardless of what happens since theres not even 30 real people in it.

Iv already acknowledged that the system isnt perfect by any means. Maybe theres some algorithm that takes into account how long a players been playing as well in regards to popularity and in turn fan votes. Hes been there for a while, a previous MVP candidate, and posted several 20+ games outside of the 40+ against you just last season. There may have been more consistent players but he still has a case.

Ultimately, bragging rights being the only point of the all star weekend is still pointless. What is there to even brag about? Oh my guys made the team and yours didnt Hehe! Is that really what we have to look forward to each season? Id rather it be replaced with an extra home and away match at that point. Brag about making it to the playoffs or having a stat leader which are actually a bigger deal. Whether the developers change the game mechanics for the selection or not, i still believe it should be given more purpose as iv stated in my past post here. Again, make the weekend something more worth looking forward to. Improvements like that would encourage people like myself to keep paying money into this game.

Having players make the all star game should positively impact your teams merchandising. It only makes sense. When fans see a player on their team in the all star game they're more likely to spend a little more on jerseys, bobble-heaads, and other fan gear. To not over complicate things, it could be kept at that level so their is a little more usefulness to the All Star Games each season. Its nice seeing your players make the team but its even better when you know there's more to it then just aesthetics.


ANOTHER idea is league shared revenue from the all star week. All teams get a small cut from the 3p contest and the ASG. Assume a sold out arena and divide out the money from ticket sells. Tactically speaking, this could give players something else to look forward to, or rather plan for as the season progresses. That small additionally cash could be the difference between getting that last minute role player for your playoff push or you might take it and stash it for the next seasons draftee scouting.

Give the All Star Game more importance to the season


The above was my initial point in joining this forum Perpete. I didn't come here for some low key shots mixed in with personal stance on the topic from another user who doesn't want any real change to the all star system because his own team has failed to produce any players being selected for it over the last few seasons. My stance on this all star game topic is one that benefits the game as a whole even if it potentially helps my competitors over me in the future. His stance after taking a closer look at his recent history seems a lot more personal.

I have no problem with staying civil but i don't believe in letting someone take unnecessary shots at me. It can be played off like it wasn't that but its the subtle things in speech or this case typing that can be poison. I currently enjoy this game but that type of stuff can gradually drive people away from the BB community. As this is a suggestions section, i haven't seen much of anything in the way of suggestions from him on this thread.

In the link you attached you mentioned those players only played 1 league game and against bots at that. A fix to that would be instituting a certain minimum for games needed to be played and at a minimum of say 25 minutes of playing time in each of those games. I dont see how guys like them could make it in under those circumstances as they wouldnt even be eligible to be voted on. Kinda like the league stat leaders boards and the minimums required their.

On top of my last comment about minimums, its important to note that no system is perfect. Even in real life it still has flaws. The link below is to an article about the current NBA ASG issue but you can read it in the name of the link itself about undeserving players.

Make the minimum games adjustment alone and that should have a large positive effect that could then allow for the other suggestions i posted here.
