I guess I got mixed up because the standings never updated. The site being like a day behind is confusing. Didn't realize he fell to 4th.

Rivalry explanation makes a lot of sense though. I've regretted not CTing rivals before and losing by single-digit values and then disappointing my fans and attendance drops. I think I've lost as much as 4000 people just because my rivals edged me out on TV before >.<

This season, I did a weird CT towards the end of the season just to make sure I won a game. Goal was just ensuring I made playoffs so that I didn't have to worry about fighting to stay up. I'm not looking to win any playoff games :p

Winning the rivalry game only weighs into attendance for your next home game though. Winning would have literally done nothing for you except potentially being in a different guaranteed loss game on the road first week of the playoffs.

The lack of enthusiasm management I’ve seen has baffled me in this league. Very rare are cases to use a CT during the season. Competing teams at most anyone should Normal 25% of their games while playing TIE the rest to build enthusiasm. More fringe teams should be around 50/50 for enthusiasm use.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

Not everyone's trying to promote though so in that case, what does it matter what your enthusiasm for the playoffs are?

Me personally, I'm just training people and trying to stay at this level until I have a team I feel can actually have a chance at winning. Just let him play the way he wants to play. It may not be what you would do, but we can all manage our teams the way we want to manage them and that's the beauty of the game. Your goals and his goals are different, so of course his decisions don't align with your ideals.

We went from 8th seed around mid-season to 4th seed, and then upset #1 on the road :-) What a fun run!! Not bad for my crap-box team!!
