Oh thats easy. I would have sat Julius Saunders... which game you say? EVERY game. I would have called up Robert Johnson and started him instead.
In all seriousness though, in our first game against Spain I would not have run LI. It wasn't a must win game for us, so no reason for us to use what we thought was our best offense. Using LI against Spain the first time allowed them to hone in on a double gap when we did the same thing in the finals. I would have chosen a LP offense for that game instead, saving the LI for the finals.
Also I was not a fan of the base offense choice against Serbia. While it was a good mix up, and we did fool them, they were still able to recover and force OT with us, causing us to sweat a little bit en route to a 4 pt win. I would have selected an Inside Isolation offense in that Scenario.
Additionally we did not select a patient offense at all last season. While we didn't have a complete patient player, it would have been an ok offense to run against a lesser team in order to add mystery to our tactical approaches.
I believe Winston Pham would have been a good early call up for a potential motion offense against nigeria. Or even a motion offense. Enrique benavides never truly got his opportunity to play either. Those two were the only under-utilized in my opinion. Although all the other players used were used well, so I suppose someone had to lose haha.
