A couple of interesting notes, Flash Mashers finished the game with a Lucky Fan and it went from 88-77 with 1:30 left to 99-96. 30 points in 90 seconds!

Marshland went from an 11 point lead with 90 seconds left to almost being tied at the buzzer.

I've always loved the GE of this game....I have always felt it has a very realistic feel and outcomes make sense...However, one area I have been critical is what you bring up. I have gone into a game where one of my best players gets hurt early, and I expect to suck that game and we end playing even better than normal.

Or like the example you gave, where a guy fouls out or gets injured in the last few minutes, and you expect the other team to gain an advantage from that point on, but instead, the "disadvantaged" team takes control.

When that happens...it feels like rather than the GE reacting to what's going on at any given point and time in the game play...it already factored in the injury or foul out from from the beginning of the game and factored it into the result...but when it happens late like that and everyone goes opposite of what you would expect...it doesn't feel like a realistic SIM at that point.

My gameshape wasn't atually that bad, everyone was strong or proficient if I remember correctly. That said, I had played each of them full time in all three games that week - I've often wondered if the minutes played already that week would affect their ability.

But in reality a few things killed me

1 - Two foul outs leading to a lucky fan. Like Jason said, I think the GE factored that in from the start and had I kept even a 6k backup in my roster that I likely would have won.

2 - Larry Spurlock. With the NT's starting PG back in my lineup I would have been fine because I woulnd't have had to...

...3 Play Shawn Bowens at SF. This worked against Eugene Register guard (The number one team in the country) and I beat him on less effort, but I played LI. Inside Iso seemed to miss Bowens at SF and defaulted to Bello, who while he was the second best player on the court, is a far cry from Bowens.

All in all, I guess I learned to play the game less rashly, using only 7 players leaves opportunities like this for a team that I should have beat to win if they bring their A game and like Jason said, the perfect storm is present. Just wish I hadn't lost a cup for that lesson. I will always be the only team to ever lose the cup to a D2 team haha
