yeah, scrimmages are mostly about getting GS and trianing minutes, but maybe in next seaosn we can do matchups like championship winner vs. championship winner, runner up vs. runner up and so on.

I also dont plan to drop out of cup too fast, but you never know with draw being random

i think you are wrong about that. Look at number of strong teams that we got, especially after those 2 big transfers . Playoff spots will be contested heavily. Not sure about relegation series though so you might be right. Anyway, I will stop spamming Kevi's thread now and move the discussion to season 19 topic starting next post :D

Don't think I'll be doing Power Rankings today since only 1 game is under the belt. So I'll just refer everyone to damian13ster's awesome Feb 11 Game Summary!

Since nobody likes Wednesdays I'm changing it to Wed just so that after the 2 league games per week are through, there will be a power rankings rather than 1 game of the previous week (Tuesday) and 1 game of the new week (Saturday).

Week 1.

Major Additions, But is it the Winning Formula?
*based on record, point differential

1. Pszczyna Team 2-0 - Off:114.5 (1) Def:66.5(1)
- This team is getting straight to business, setting the pace by averaging 114.5 ppg ranking 1st in the division in offence and only holding their opponents to 66.5 ppg which also ranks 1st in the division. It may be early on, but they’re making a statement and setting a tone that they are not the ones to mess around with.

2. Keyes Kop 2-0Off: 103 (4) Def:68 (2)
- As said last week, this team is being led by their 1-2 punch in Zisterer (17ppg and 8.5ast) and Diez de Arellano, who is averaging a double-double with 19ppg and 10rebs. Their defence is right up there with damian13ster’s team. Their next match up? You guessed it: Pszczyna Team. Will this be an early preview of the Great 8 Conference Finals?

3. Scarborough Stampede 2-0Off: 105.5 (2) Def: 87 (4)
- They have taken the lead in the Big 8 conference standings but it is still early, will the new guard be able to develop fast enough to carry them through the season and ultimately to the championship? The addition only adds to their great depth which will help in the long run... They can only look forward as the Cerebral Assassins are hot on their tails with their newly acquired beast manning the team.

4. Webfoots 2-0Off:92.5(9) Def: 76(3)
- Another team that made a splash in the TL by adding a nice big man down low that is right in his prime. It seems that they’re momentum from being champions last year has carried over, but how long will that last?

5. Soaring Eagles 2-0Off:104.5 (3) Def:102.5 (12)
- A team that is “soaring” under the radar that is undefeated. In their first game, they were able to steal a game by hitting 2 free throws with 9 seconds left in the game to put them on top and beating The Dream Shakers. Will all of their old guys be able to remain at a high level of play for the rest of the season?

Jeremy Lin Team of the Week: Pszczyna Team
- Going from not being ranked in the power rankings to being top team as of Week 1. I’ll just say it now since he my sleeper “I told you so”.'

Justin Bieber Team of the Week: Ottawa Lightning
- No offence, no defence, what is this team doing? Coming from Naismith and first two games going 0-2 with both being complete blowouts. Who is this? The post-LeBron Cleveland Cavaliers?

Awesome job. Just a small suggestion: Add a record next to those offensive and defensive stats.

I am very happy with being first at the moment, but I dont think it will last long. I am facing Keyes on saturday and it is going to be an away game. Not going to sacrifice training or morale to try and steal a win because I am not a favourite.

Sorry guys. My laptop broke down on me and I will be getting a new one this weekend
I do have a tablet to change my lineups but looking at every team using a tablet is difficult and time consuming

If anybody wants to take over for this week, go for it! Otherwise il have to miss this week

Week 2

Fu Kuande has decided to take his talents to North America... But already wants out?

1. Pszczyna Team 6-0 - Off:102.1 (2) Def:65.6(1)
The only team that remains undefeated with the best defence in the league. Even though they're on top, the team is trying to stay on ground level and maintain course. Led by Chiappori with an impressive 20ppg and 15rpg, the team is taking it one game at a time and also treating each one as important as the other. Is there a team in this league that can stop them?

2. Keyes Kop 5-1 – Off: 106.1 (4) Def:76.6 (2)
With Pszczyna Team trying to run off with 1st place in the Great 8, Keyes Kops is right on their tails with the only loss coming from them. The team has a balanced attack having 6 players average in double figures in points. They're team is second best in defence and hanging in there with damian13ster.

3. Scarborough Stampede 5-1 – Off: 105.5 (2) Def: 85.5 (T4)
The top in the Big 8 suffered their first loss last week in which they lost a close one against The Syndicate. They may need every game they can get to secure HCA with Cerebral Assassins coming up as it will be crucial down the road in the playoffs. With their starting PG in Runliang out for another 2 weeks, will they be able to hold onto top spot in Big 8?

4. Soul Crushers 5-1 - Off: 96.0 (5) Def: 93.3 (9)
A sleeper team that no one really talks about but is right there in the match up for top team in the league. They're quick offense has them running through their opponents with nice wins against Webfoots and Haylors, converting on 24/58 threes in the past two games - 10 alone coming from star SG Ge Guixiang. Is it too early to say he'll be in the 3-point competition this year?

5. Cerebral Assassins 4-2 - Off: 99.8 (3) Def: 86.1 (6)
Will this team ever be satisfied with their roster? In just 3 weeks since the season has started, they have already made 13 transactions (6 coming in and 7 going out), and the biggest transaction being Fu Kuande. The backcourt of Kuande and Barthel must be one of the biggest salaried players together in Div II. Just the backcourt salary alone is more than most teams in Div II. Every team is feared to play these guys, but are they really that big as they appear to be?

Hero Team of the Week: Pszczyna Team
The team just doesn't want to lose with blowouts of 48 and 44 in the past two games.

"NBA Dunk Contest 2012" Team of the Week: We Are Legends
After getting a nice win early in the season, the team has dropped 4 in a row, topped off by getting spanked by 27 by a team that is confused of their identity in Ottawa Lightning. Has this team given up and just going for the top pick of the draft? Or will they be able to turn it all around.

yea made some impulsive buys lately. i regret signing Kuande. Maybe in Naismith they can join forces again. For now, the team will be led by Barthel at the point.
