How is everyone looking for round one of the cup? Anyone got definite wins or losses?

I'm playing Menzies Rangers who finished 2nd last in their div IV league last year, and is ranked 637. So im pretty confident that i will be able to come up with a first round win

Im coming up against CRE towers in Div III, ranked 233 :(, So im probs looking at a lose... Which sucks because I really could use some 50k's from wins in the CUP:(

Playing a rank 150 team first round, not too happy about the scheduling, might Crunch time it and sacrifice game shape to win it, really need the cup revenue..

Just had a look at his team and yours and with your home advantage, if you CT and he plays normal you should win ;)

I have a computer team, so definite win for me. Though after this round, i'm not sure If I will continue in the cup, as I don't want to sacrifice much Game shape, if any at all.

Though the extra revenue is fantastic, but not sure if its worth it.

Anyway good luck to everyone in their cup games.

Hi, yeah I'm (tannum tantrums) pretty confident of a last place finish :).
I think you all have a bit too much firepower for me at the moment...am thinking I will probably have to relegate and get another season of training under my belt before I can compete in div 3 but you never know.

I drew a team ranked around 130, lucky me.

Team has no depth / versatility but his centre's salary is 214K, so guess where he directs all his traffic.

Jesus 214k... how does he not go bust.. Are you thinking of CTing to stay in the cup? I think I am... need the revenue. I might lose though... my opponent has 4x 30k+ players

I'm playing Glenelg Tigers from Div. II, thought about CT just to see how close I could get it but then decided just to play Normal.

I guess my focus is going to be more on training and avoiding relegation.

All the best for everyone in their Cup games.

yea in div III, its a very fine balance between winning cup games and remaning competitive in the league. A league win is almost a weeks porofit in div III and can make a lot of difference come the end of the year if you have won a few instead losing week 1.

Although i should get thru, im playing all my backups with only 1 other guy to help out all positions, whilst most of my guys will get a break. Plus i think i might tie in the tournament games to concentrate on the league. Hopefully this works, an extra 50k in the bank is always handy.
