Halfway point of the season now... let's see how we're travelling with these predictions:

Current position is in brackets.

1. Rampaging Marmots (2 - was certain I'd set a team against the bottom team in my conference, but apparently not, so I forfeited... gah)
2. Cleveland Sweaty Steamers (4 - slightly disappointing, but still not too bad)
3. XBB (1 - very nice work, stitched me up good and proper)
4. GoldCoastSH (5 - looking out of the playoffs race at this point, 3 wins and a massive points differential to make up)
5. Australia Gangsters (3 - That'll teach me to make a rash prediction)
6. No Scopes TEH Noobs (7 - needs to win a couple games to be safe from auto-relegation)
7. Tha Angels (8 - almost certain to get relegated, as the only win was a forfeit against me :P)
8. Crash Boards (6 - going very nicely, level on wins with #5 - this time will be a threat in seasons to come)

So, pretty close, I'm no more than 2 positions out on any one person, and i got 3/4 of the top teams.

And the Great 8:

1. Massive Ballers (3 - disappointing so far, but definitely a threat in the playoffs regardless)
2. Villians (1 - the standout team so far in both conferences, but got crushed by 36 tonight in their first loss)
3. Adelaide 36rs (5 - again, disappointing, only 1 win out of the 4 but with a huge points differential to make up, this team will need to get some wins, and fast)
4. Castros Hawks (6 - going absolutely terribly)
5. Johnterbury Bulldogs (7 - also going terribly!)
6. Pornos Pride (4 - underestimated them, but will need to keep winning to stay in the top 4)
7. Flying Ants (2 - damn! Great work. Completely proved me wrong! I'll have to try to beat you next game to restore my pride, but I don't think that will be easy, at all...
8. MG Lakers (8 - finally! I got one right!)

I wondered what happened with your forfeit, you played me the game after and I was really hoping for some more generosity.

The Flyiing Ants flying high in our conference isn't a huge surprise, though I think I will overtake them for second spot seeing they have played their easy cross-conference games so far while I will have gotten them out the way after this next game against the Steamers. My Ballers have definitely been disappointing in a few key games, definitely down to some poor tactical decisions and me putting training minutes above anything else.

That forfeit is going to cost me almost any chance of being the #1 seed, which is very frustrating, since it was against a bot team that I was certain to win on TIE with my worst team. Ugh.

This is definitely going to be the closest playoff series for a long time.

And Duckett - it's a pity that your best player was injured for our game, it meant that it was a lot easier for me to plan my tactics, otherwise I definitely would have been guessing!

We are going to get humped in this all-star shenanigans, not that anyone really cares about it.

I always find the massively high scores amusing, combined with the lack of fouls.

I thought I'd set my team, but it turns out I hadn't - and for some bizarre reason there was no default team set, so I sent 0 players out :P Against the bottom team, too, and it's his only win.... very frustrating.

No, he was referring to the first one. I'm dumb, but I'm not dumb enough to do it twice in one season. I'm saving the next one for the next time I have an important game in Div II, whenever I eventually get up there.
