Well, if I thought I was any where close to being able to compete against Reston, that myth's been put to rest. Best way to summarize game, my starting center has been in the hunt for the rebounding title. He get's his first rebound of the game with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Completely destroyed in my last 2 league road games.

And that's with Reston playing TIE to my normal.

I used to play GoalLineBlitz.com. It gives you more control over player development but not quite as much in terms of actually running a team. It was fun for a while though.

Thanks, calfson, but as we well know, HCA is a pretty big factor in the BB engine. And I really think that according to the game ratings, the Riverdogs were pretty lucky to win that game. Time will tell how these playoffs will break...

I have never once had even a remotely passing thought that my team is the best this season. There will be 8 very solid teams come playoff time and I suspect the seeding will change from it's current position. Very few teams have decided to play me straight up this season and I have seen more B-squads than any other season. My team hasn't been truly tested and after my cup exit, I sold off some depth and have been making a few changes. Still not done...maybe.

Regarding last night game, I was down 2 on the road with a minute left playing look inside with 300k worth of salary in bigs. Of course the match engine makes my team jack up stupid 3s, not get the rebound and foul. Pappy is old school and his team always makes FT. So a game that should have come down to the last possession ends in a score that looks like a solid easy win by the home team. Not sure how his guys snagged 25% more rebounds than mine and I see that as the real difference maker. Nobody fouled out, we played all our players and his team made shots at the end when it mattered and crashed the boards where my guys could not. It's tough to win on the road, especially when you miss shots at the end and don't rebound. He deserved that win. There is a slight chance we might get a rematch in the playoffs, but we each need a few wins against teams that will also be in the playoffs for that to happen.

The only thing I know is that the end of this season should be spectacular as teams jostle for positioning and few try to win the cup. Great overall season by this league. The playoffs should be great as the cup will be over and everyone can play their best.
