Well, Yes - your team is long in the tooth. You have 4 players over 30 yrs old not including that scrub. I believe you have a good nucleus in your 25 yr old pg - but other than that not much. You have one 19 yr old starter who I see as your only serious training candidate - but I don't think he'll amount to much - honestly, besides 2 or maybe 3 players I would change the rest or else you'll find yourself in Div III very soon - but that is just my opinion. Tell me if I am wrong (and why) and feel free to blast me on my team - always could use a good butt kicking

I agree with you on everything except that i will find myself in div III. I did this exact thing last season where I bought my team right before the season began and to keep it cheap, I bought old. It was enoigh to easily land me in 5th, with two walkovers and selling off all my players for the last game or two. This season I did the exact same thing, except my players have better skills. I think that 4th or 5th is where I will finish this season, but even if I finish 6th my roster is good enough to stay in division II. Obviously if I want to get to Naismith I will have to change my strategy, but right now staying in division II and training my 25 year old is good for me :) Maybe I will go for a serious cup run :D oh and the 19 year old is just a scrub to eat minutes in cup games/scrimmages and make sure my starters stay in good shape :)

And as far as your team goes, its young, its strong and it contains my former player Ciro Tino. I cannot say anything bad about that :)

I am glad that I had the good taste of picking up your former player - Ciro - He is great off the bench + he is Canadian. Good luck on your plan

Not necessarily, I remember in season 15, a team that just won Div III promoted, wasn't doing so good, half-way in the season bought cheap veterans (30+ yo) and won the division. I think experience plays a big role as I didn't think his team was very good through the roster. That or our division at that time was weak.

So yea in the long run it might hurt him but since he's selling and buying old and not training them, it doesn't really matter. The only negative I can see maybe is that it's gonna cost him money to constantly buy and sell unless he breaks even every time.

I completely agree with your assessment - what I meant to say (and didn't) was that if he keeps on the same road without rotating his older guys in and out of his team then he will be stuck. Thanks for keeping me on course
