thanks for all those comments mate. My staffing costs are only just above the league average at the moment, however i'm only going to purchase a new trainer (currently costing me 45K per week) if i can get them with a salary of under $20k, and that's not easy to do when you're after a level 4 or 5 trainer.

I've got some decisions to make, but i believe that with Stevens and Trakys developing nicely, with one or two more skill pops i'll be able to move one or both of them into a more prominent role. I think weightman has reached his skill cap, so i've got to make a call whether to move him on for a nice profit, or to keep him to play that backup pf/c position that he's been doing so well.

Though i'm only losing about $8k per week, the positive is that i've got plenty of options to make moves without dramatically killing my teams chances to remain in the league. I guess that's the advantage of having some solid trainees.

Either way, it's time for to re-evaluate, as i did in div III, to see how i can structure my team to advance in the next two seasons and put myself in a position to promote.

Construction to expand the stadium will continue, and with the prices will continue to fall as I hope to engage the fans more and more to make this team more profitable. I'm at no risk of going bankrupt, but it's time to get some strong profitability going again so that this team can be a consistent competitor moving ahead.

I don't get why you want to continually expand your arena if it's currently half empty?

To generate greater earning capacity in the future.

I'm going to be working hard to find the right pricing mix to ensure crowds are closer to capacity moving forward.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not going to be focusing solely and expansion of my arena, just want to increase my capacity enough to try and improve my earnings to around $100k per week (once the fans are happy enough to come).

Down to the final 32 teams in the cup and 6 div II.2 teams remain

HA, PeaceNroll, Eggplants, SJOD, SBV and SVM.

This is a great result for div II.2 with only the ABBL (9 teams) having more teams from the one league make it this far.

Div II.1 have no teams left in the cup and divs II.3 and II.4 have 1 team each left in the cup

As a consequence of these remaining 6 div II.2 teams making it to the final 32 they will undoubtedly have their rankings improved and hopefully should benefit from bigger crowds

4 of the 6 div II.2 teams have drawn div 3 or lower oppossition.

Eggplants have drawn the 32 ranked div 1 team Koopasaurus and PeaceNroll have the 21st ranked div 2 team Stone Slashers.

By my estimations 7 of the 15 teams that win this round and as a consequence will make the final 16, are beatable if our teams are lucky enough to win through.

Statistically we are a good chance of having 2 div II.2 teams in the final 8

Good luck to all

A much needed win by my boys to maintain my spot in the logjam that is positions 4-7 in the Big 8.
Judging by the results it seems as though the Big 8 is the tougher conference thsi year with GT and HA proving very tough to beat, and all of EGG, BT, SVM, PNR and MR capable of upsetting more highly ranked teams.

It appears that a number of Great 8 teams are restructuring their teams mid-season with the likes of Jerries and Nevada Saucers make some big sales recently.

This year is really tightly contested and it's going to be interesting to see who will make the moves to avoid having to fight off in the relegation series at the end of the year. It appears that most teams are deserving of their place in the league.

Plus 1 to you (excellent sumation)

Seems the earlier predictions (mostly from those in the Great 8) that the Great 8 was the stronger conference might be wrong

It's funny that you do not include BroomeTime in that contest. Despite having a good start this season, I don't think they're safe. They may very well end up 5th or even 6th.

Sainstars are set to relegate. With such a small arena, poor line up and bad minutes management, I don't see how they could come back by the end of the season.

Looking at the inter-conference results, it appears that the Big 8 is getting the better of the Great 8 in a number of games. Whether this is because of the restructuring of rosters that is taking place, better management or something else entirely i'm not sure.

PNR I agree that BT is far from safe. His team has been consistent and that has been his main saving grace. However, i struggle to see how he's going to take that next step at this stage. His performance this season is very similar to last season. Good enough to make the finals, but not good enough to really make an impact and challenge for promotion. I'm sure he's got a strategy in mind though. Beware the quiet one's i reckon.

To be honest, my team is frustrating me no end. I often seem to lose to teams that I think I should be beating. No disrespect to SJOD, but i seriously thought i would win that one. I'm starting to think that i've got one main weakness on my team and my aim is to address that through my training for the rest of the season.

Dammit Mango's!!! I'm not sure whether to tip my hat to you or to curse you!

Crunch timing me to get the W.... well done because you got the W, but it's a real pain to me in trying to stay out of the relegation zone. I need some wins now and soon, otherwise it's gonna be a tough after the all-star break.

Trakys fouling out didn't help me either. Well, at least i'm still only 1 game back from 5th and just 2 out from 4th. BT got an important win to move to a promising 8-4 record which could be enough for him to make the playoffs yet again.
